Amos 8:14
ਲੋਕ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਛੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਕੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ: ‘ਹੇ ਦਾਨ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ …।’ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੁੜ ਉੱਠਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਬਿ।”
