Genesis 25:22
ਜਦੋਂ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸਦੀ ਕੁੱਖ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਘੋਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ ਗਈ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ?”

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਊਰੀਮ ਜਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ।

Ezekiel 20:31
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੁਗਾਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਆਪਣੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਦਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ! ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਆਉਣ ਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਮੰਗਣ ਦੇਵਾਂ? ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਖੀ ਰੱਖਕੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ!
Ezekiel 36:37
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਾਤਰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧਣ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ-ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਨਣ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
