Galatians 5
1 ਆਪਣੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖੋ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ। ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਖਲੋਵੋ। ਬਦਲੋ ਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਪਰਤੋ।
2 ਸੁਣੋ ਮੈਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨੇਮ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਨਤੀਏ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਫ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
3 ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ, ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੇਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
4 ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰੋ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਅੰਤ ਤੇ ਆ ਪੁਜਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੋਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੋ।
5 ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਉਸ ਉਮੀਦ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
6 ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਨਾ। ਅੱਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਗੱਲ ਤਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
7 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੜੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਦੌੜ, ਦੌੜ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਕਿਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ?
8 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਰਹੋ। “ਬੱਸ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਖਮੀਰ ਆਟੇ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤੌਣ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।”
10 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਵਿੱਚਾਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਲਝਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ।
11 ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਜਰੂਰ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਦੰਡ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ? ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਲੀਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
12 ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੱਸੀ ਹੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ।
13 ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਅਰੱਥਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ।
14 ਸਮੁੱਚਾ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾਂਸ਼ ਇਸ ਇੱਕ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ; “ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਵੇਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।”
15 ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਦੇ ਰਹੋਂਗ਼ੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸਚੇਤ ਰਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ।
16 ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਭਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਓ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਮੰਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਹਨ।
17 ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪੇ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ। ਆਤਮਾ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ।
18 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ।
19 ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਬੜੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ। ਜਿਨਸੀ ਗੁਨਾਹ, ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਬਦੀ,
20 ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨੀ, ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਨੇ, ਨਫ਼ਰਤ, ਝਗੜਾ, ਈਰਖਾ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਉਣਾ, ਵੰਡੀਆਂ ਪਾਉਣੀਆਂ,
21 ਦੋਖੀ ਹੋਣਾ, ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਹੋਣਾ, ਅਨੈਤਿਕ ਦਾਅਵਤਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੰਮ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ; ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
22 ਪਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ, ਆਨੰਦ, ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਸਬਰ, ਦਯਾ, ਚੰਗਿਆਈ, ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ,
23 ਕੋਮਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਵੈਂ ਸੰਜਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨੇਮ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
24 ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
25 ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
26 ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਉਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਈਰਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ।
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 ਅਸੀਂ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਉਸ ਉਮੀਦ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।
For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਨਾ। ਅੱਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਗੱਲ ਤਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੜੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਦੌੜ, ਦੌੜ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਕਿਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ?
Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਉਸ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਰਹੋ। “ਬੱਸ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਖਮੀਰ ਆਟੇ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤੌਣ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।”
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਵਿੱਚਾਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਲਝਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ।
I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਜਰੂਰ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਦੰਡ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ? ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸਲੀਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੱਸੀ ਹੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ।
I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਅਰੱਥਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ।
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 ਸਮੁੱਚਾ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾਂਸ਼ ਇਸ ਇੱਕ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ; “ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਵੇਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।”
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਦੇ ਰਹੋਂਗ਼ੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸਚੇਤ ਰਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ।
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਭਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਓ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਮੰਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਹਨ।
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪੇ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ। ਆਤਮਾ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ।
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ।
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਬੜੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ। ਜਿਨਸੀ ਗੁਨਾਹ, ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਬਦੀ,
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨੀ, ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਨੇ, ਨਫ਼ਰਤ, ਝਗੜਾ, ਈਰਖਾ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਉਣਾ, ਵੰਡੀਆਂ ਪਾਉਣੀਆਂ,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 ਦੋਖੀ ਹੋਣਾ, ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਹੋਣਾ, ਅਨੈਤਿਕ ਦਾਅਵਤਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੰਮ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ; ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 ਪਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ, ਆਨੰਦ, ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਸਬਰ, ਦਯਾ, ਚੰਗਿਆਈ, ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ,
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 ਕੋਮਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਵੈਂ ਸੰਜਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨੇਮ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਆਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਉਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਈਰਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ।
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
