ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ।
