ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਨ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਵੇਖਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਮਨੋਨ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਧਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
