ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਆਤਮਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਰੂਹਾਂ, ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ, ਘਰੇਲੂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ, ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੱਭੀ ਸੀ।

நான் செய்யும் தண்டனையினால் நீங்கள் குணப்படாமல், எனக்கு எதிர்த்து நடந்தால்,
And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;

And if	וְאִ֨ם	wĕʾim	veh-EEM
ye will not	בְּאֵ֔לֶּה	bĕʾēlle	beh-A-leh
be reformed	לֹ֥א	lōʾ	loh
things, these by me by	תִוָּֽסְר֖וּ	tiwwāsĕrû	tee-wa-seh-ROO
but will walk	לִ֑י	lî	lee
contrary	וַֽהֲלַכְתֶּ֥ם	wahălaktem	va-huh-lahk-TEM
unto	עִמִּ֖י	ʿimmî	ee-MEE
me;	קֶֽרִי׃	qerî	KEH-ree

that	הַגִּלֻּלִ֜ים	haggillulîm	ha-ɡee-loo-LEEM
were spied	וְאֵ֣ת	wĕʾēt	veh-ATE

of Judah	הַשִּׁקֻּצִ֗ים	haššiqquṣîm	ha-shee-koo-TSEEM
and in Jerusalem,	אֲשֶׁ֤ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
Josiah did	נִרְאוּ֙	nirʾû	neer-OO
put away,	בְּאֶ֤רֶץ	bĕʾereṣ	beh-EH-rets
that	יְהוּדָה֙	yĕhûdāh	yeh-hoo-DA
he might perform	וּבִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם	ûbîrûšālaim	oo-vee-ROO-sha-la-EEM
	בִּעֵ֖ר	biʿēr	bee-ARE
the words	יֹֽאשִׁיָּ֑הוּ	yōʾšiyyāhû	yoh-shee-YA-hoo
of the law	לְ֠מַעַן	lĕmaʿan	LEH-ma-an
written were which	הָקִ֞ים	hāqîm	ha-KEEM
in	אֶת	ʾet	et
the book	דִּבְרֵ֤י	dibrê	deev-RAY
that	הַתּוֹרָה֙	hattôrāh	ha-toh-RA
Hilkiah	הַכְּתֻבִ֣ים	hakkĕtubîm	ha-keh-too-VEEM
priest the	עַל	ʿal	al
