ਦੂਜੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਦੇ 15ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ 41ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹੇਠੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਦਵਾਇਆ।

ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਆਮੋਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼: ਆਮੋਸ ਤਕੋਆ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਜੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਦੋ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ।
Amos 7:9
ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਥਾਂ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਕੂੜੇ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ’ਚ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ।”
