ਪਰ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਇਖਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਲੀਮੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਫ਼ੜਿਆ ਇਸ ਲ਼ਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਰੋਪੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਵਿਖਾਈ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਆ ਪਈ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇ। ਇਉਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਵਿਖਾਈ।
Isaiah 39:6
