ਤਦ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੜਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਖਬਰਦਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ, ਮਸ਼ੀਲੇਮੋਥ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਰਕਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਲੂਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਹਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਦਲੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਮਾਸਾ ਸੀ।
