2 Chronicles 11 - BBE (Punjabi)

1 And Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, and got together the men of Judah and Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand of his best fighting-men, to make war against Israel and get the kingdom back for Rehoboam.ਜਦ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 1,80,000 ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਉਣ।

2 But the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, the man of God, saying,ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਮਆਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਨ ਹੋਇਆ। ਸ਼ਮਾਆਯਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

3 Say to Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin,ਸਮਾਆਯਾਹ, ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਖ:

4 The Lord has said, You are not to go to war against your brothers: let every man go back to his house, for this thing is my purpose. So they gave ear to the words of the Lord and were turned back from fighting against Jeroboam.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੋ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ।” ਤਦ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜ ਗਏ।

5 Now Rehoboam kept in Jerusalem, building walled towns in Judah.ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

6 He was the builder of Beth-lehem and Etam and Tekoaਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ, ਏਟਾਮ, ਤਕੋਆ,

7 And Beth-zur and Soco and Adullamਬੈਤਸੂਰ, ਸੋਕੋ, ਅਦੂੱਲਾਮ,

8 And Gath and Mareshah and Ziphਗਥ, ਮਾਰੇਸ਼ਾਹ, ਜ਼ੀਫ਼,

9 And Adoraim and Lachish and Azekahਅਦੋਰਇਮ, ਲਕੀਸ਼, ਅਜ਼ੇਕਾਹ,

10 And Zorah and Aijalon and Hebron, walled towns in Judah and Benjamin.ਸਾਰਆਹ, ਅੱਯਾਲੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।

11 And he made the walled towns strong, and he put captains in them and stores of food, oil, and wine.ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਮੁਕੱਰਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਸਦ, ਤੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਰੱਖੇ।

12 And in every town he put stores of body-covers and spears, and made them very strong. And Judah and Benjamin were his.ਅਤੇ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਰੱਖਵਾ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਯੰਤ੍ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

13 And the priests and Levites who were in all Israel came together to him from every part of their country.ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਗਏ।

14 For the Levites gave up their living-places and their property, and came to Judah and Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and his sons had sent them away, not letting them be priests to the Lord;ਲੇਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਮਲਕੀਅਤਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਏ। ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੰਝ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਰਜਿਆ ਸੀ।

15 And he himself made priests for the high places, and for the images of he-goats and oxen which he had made.ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੱਕਰਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਵੱਛਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਪਿਆ।

16 And after them, from all the tribes of Israel, all those whose hearts were fixed and true to the Lord, the God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to make offerings to the Lord, the God of their fathers.ਜਦੋਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਿਆ, ਉੱਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਅ-ਜਾਨ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ।

17 So they went on increasing the power of the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, strong for three years; and for three years they went in the ways of David and Solomon.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਤੀਕ ਹਿਮਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇੰਝ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੀਕ ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਚਲਦੇ ਰਹੇ।

18 And Rehoboam took as his wife Mahalath, the daughter of Jerimoth, the son of David and of Abihail, the daughter of Eliab, the son of Jesse;ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਮਹਲਥ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਲਿਆ। ਅਹਾਲਥ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਰੀਮੋਥ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਅਬੀਹਇਲ ਸੀ। ਯਰੀਮੋਥ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਬੀਹਇਲ ਅਲੀਆਬ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਲੀਆਬ ਯੱਸੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।

19 And she had sons by him, Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.ਮਹਲਥ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੰਮੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਉਂ ਯਊਸ਼, ਸ਼ਮਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਾਹਮ ਸਨ।

20 And after her he took Maacah, the daughter of Absalom; and she had Abijah and Attai and Ziza and Shelomith by him.ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਮਆਕਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਬੀਯਾਹ, ਅੱਤਈ, ਜ਼ੀਜ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਲੋਮੀਥ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ।

21 Maacah, the daughter of Absalom, was dearer to Rehoboam than all his wives and his servant-wives: (for he had eighteen wives and sixty servant-wives, and was the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.)ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਦੀ ਪੋਤਰੀ ਮਆਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦੀਆਂ 18 ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ 60 ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ 28 ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ 60 ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।

22 Rehoboam made Abijah, the son of Maacah, chief and ruler among his brothers, for it was his purpose to make him king.ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਅਮਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਚੁਣਿਆ। ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅਬੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

23 And in his wisdom he had his sons stationed in every walled town through all the lands of Judah and Benjamin; and he gave them a great store of food, and took wives for them.ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਬੁੱਧੀਮਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਇਉਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਸਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਹੁਟੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਵੇਖੀਆਂ।
