2 Kings 4:14
ਤਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ?” ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਬਿਰਧ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।”

Genesis 25:21
ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
Genesis 30:1
ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਰਾਖੇਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ ਲੇਆਹ ਨਾਲ ਈਰਖਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਿਉ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ!”
Judges 13:2
ਉੱਥੇ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ। ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
1 Samuel 1:2
ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਬੀਵੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਨਿੰਨਾਹ ਸੀ। ਪਨਿੰਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਉਲਾਦ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
1 Samuel 1:8
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੰਨਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦੀ? ਤੂੰ ਉਦਾਸ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ? ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹਾਂ। ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਦੀ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਤੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਦਸ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹੈ।”
Luke 1:7
ਪਰ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਲੀਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇਲੀਸਬਤ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਸਨ।
