ਤਦ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ-ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਵਾ ਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਗਲੀ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ।
