ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਆਕੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਕਲਗ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅੱਜ ਤੀਕ ਸਿਕਲਗ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਖੱਤਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ (ਗੋਲਿਆਥ) ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਵੀ ਹੋਇਆ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਉਹ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵਜਹ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।”
