ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੁੜ ਪਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਹੁਣ ਏਨ-ਗਦੀ ਦੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।”

ਜ਼ੀਫ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਤਦ ਜ਼ੀਫ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਹੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਕਦਾ ਫ਼ਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਹੋਰੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਕੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨੀਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਪਰ ਜੋ ਯਸੀਮੋਨ ਦੀ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਲੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Proverbs 25:5

Hosea 7:3
