ਜਾਜਕ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇੱਥੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਗੋਲਿਆਥ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਏਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਪੇਟੀ ਏਫ਼ੋਦ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।” ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਉ। ਗੋਲਿਆਥ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।”
