18 ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਭੱਜਕੇ, ਬਚਕੇ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਭ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ। ਤਦ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਡੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜੇ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਠਹਿਰੀ ਸੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ ਸੀ।
19 ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
20 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜੇ। ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਬੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਉਸ ਟੋਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਹਲਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।
21 ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਤੀਸਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ।
22 ਅਖੀਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਆਪ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਖੂਹ ਸੇਕੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਸਮੂਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ?” ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ।”
23 ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਡੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਬੋਲਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਰਦਾ-ਤੁਰਦਾ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਆਖੀ ਗਿਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵੀ ਲਾਹ ਸੁੱਟੇ।
18 So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.
22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
19 ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.
20 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜੇ। ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਬੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਉਸ ਟੋਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਹਲਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।

21 ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਤੀਸਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ।
And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.
22 ਅਖੀਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਆਪ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਖੂਹ ਸੇਕੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਸਮੂਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ?” ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ।”
Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
23 ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਡੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਬੋਲਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਰਦਾ-ਤੁਰਦਾ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਆਖੀ ਗਿਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵੀ ਲਾਹ ਸੁੱਟੇ।
And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
