ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ 70 ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਆਫ਼ਰਾਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਰੁੱਬਆਲ (ਗਿਦਾਊਨ) ਦੇ 70 ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕੋ ਪੱਥਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਯਰੁੱਬਆਲ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਪ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ।

ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਛੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਨਮੇ: ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਅਮਨੋਨ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਯਿਜ਼ਰੇਲਣ ਅਹੀਨੋਅਮ ਸੀ।

ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਦੀ ਪੋਤਰੀ ਮਆਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦੀਆਂ 18 ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ 60 ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ 28 ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ 60 ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
