Psalm 56 in Tamil

1 தேவனே, எனக்கு இரங்கும்; மனுஷன் என்னை விழுங்கப்பார்க்கிறான், நாள்தோறும் போர்செய்து என்னை ஒடுக்குகிறான். Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

2 என் சத்துருக்கள் நாள்தோறும் என்னை விழுங்கப்பார்க்கிறார்கள்: உன்னதமானவரே, எனக்கு விரோதமாய் அகங்கரித்துப் போர் செய்கிறவர்கள் அநேகர். Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

3 நான் பயப்படுகிற நாளில் உம்மை நம்புவேன். What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

4 தேவனை முன்னிட்டு அவருடைய வார்த்தையைப் புகழுவேன்; தேவனை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன், நான் பயப்படேன்; மாம்சமானவன் எனக்கு என்ன செய்வான்? In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

5 நித்தமும் என் வார்த்தைகளைப் புரட்டுகிறார்கள்; எனக்குத் தீங்குசெய்வதே அவர்கள் முழு எண்ணமாயிருக்கிறது. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6 அவர்கள் ஏகமாய்க் கூடி, பதிவிருக்கிறார்கள்; என் பிராணனை வாங்க விரும்பி, என் காலடிகளைத் தொடர்ந்து வருகிறார்கள். They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

7 அவர்கள் தங்கள் அக்கிரமத்தினால் தப்புவார்களோ? தேவனே, கோபங்கொண்டு ஜனங்களைக் கீழே தள்ளும். Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

8 என் அலைச்சல்களை தேவரீர் எண்ணியிருக்கிறீர் ; என் கண்ணீரை உம்முடைய துருத்தியில் வையும்; அவைகள் உம்முடைய கணக்கில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது? Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

9 நான் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடும் நாளில் என் சத்துருக்கள் பின்னிட்டுத் திரும்புவார்கள்; தேவன் என் பட்சத்தில் இருக்கிறார் என்பதை அறிவேன். When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

10 தேவனை முன்னிட்டு அவருடைய வார்த்தையைப் புகழுவேன்; கர்த்தரை முன்னிட்டு அவருடைய வார்த்தையைப் புகழுவேன். In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.

11 தேவனை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன், நான் பயப்படேன்; மனுஷன் எனக்கு என்னசெய்வான்? In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

12 தேவனே, நான் உமக்குப் பண்ணின பொருத்தனைகள் என்மேல் இருக்கிறது; உமக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரங்களைச் செலுத்துவேன். Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

13 நான் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக ஜீவனுள்ளோருடைய வெளிச்சத்திலே நடக்கும்படி, நீர் என் ஆத்துமாவை மரணத்துக்கும் என் கால்களை இடறலுக்கும் தப்புவியாதிருப்பீரோ? For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

1 Thaevanae, enakku irangum; manushan ennai vilungappaarkkiraan, naalthoraுm porseythu ennai odukkukiraan. Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

2 En saththurukkal naalthoraுm ennai vilungappaarkkiraarkal: unnathamaanavarae, enakku virothamaay akangariththup por seykiravarkal anaekar. Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

3 Naan payappadukira naalil ummai nampuvaen. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

4 Thaevanai munnittu avarutaiya vaarththaiyaip pukaluvaen; thaevanai nampiyirukkiraேn, naan payappataen; maamsamaanavan enakku enna seyvaan? In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

5 Niththamum en vaarththaikalaip purattukiraarkal; enakkuth theenguseyvathae avarkal mulu ennnamaayirukkirathu. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6 Avarkal aekamaayk kooti, pathivirukkiraarkal; en piraananai vaanga virumpi, en kaalatikalaith thodarnthu varukiraarkal. They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

7 Avarkal thangal akkiramaththinaal thappuvaarkalo? Thaevanae, kopangaொnndu janangalaik geelae thallum. Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

8 En alaichchalkalai thaevareer ennnniyirukkireer ; en kannnneerai ummutaiya thuruththiyil vaiyum; avaikal ummutaiya kanakkil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu? Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

9 Naan ummai Nnokkik kooppidum naalil en saththurukkal pinnittuth thirumpuvaarkal; Dhevan en patchaththil irukkiraar enpathai arivaen. When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

10 Thaevanai munnittu avarutaiya vaarththaiyaip pukaluvaen; karththarai munnittu avarutaiya vaarththaiyaip pukaluvaen. In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.

11 Thaevanai nampiyirukkiraேn, naan payappataen; manushan enakku ennaseyvaan? In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

12 Thaevanae, naan umakkup pannnnina poruththanaikal enmael irukkirathu; umakku sthoththirangalaich seluththuvaen. Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

13 Naan thaevanukku munpaaka jeevanullorutaiya velichchaththilae nadakkumpati, neer en aaththumaavai maranaththukkum en kaalkalai idaralukkum thappuviyaathiruppeero? For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
