அவர்கள் ஆகாமியத்தின் அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, கொடுமையின் இரசத்தைக் குடிக்கிறார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது ஈசாய் அபினதாபை அழைத்து, அவனைச் சாமுவேலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கடந்துபோகச்செய்தான்; அவன்: இவனையும் கர்த்தர் தெரிந்து கொள்ளவில்லை என்றான்.

பிறகு ஈசாய் இரண்டாவது மகனான, அபினதாபை அழைத்தான். அவன் சாமுவேலினருகில் நடந்து வந்தபோது சாமுவேல் பார்த்து, “இல்லை, கர்த்தர் இவனைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கவில்லை” எனக் கூறினான்.
