Proverbs 12 in Tamil

1 புத்திமதிகளை விரும்புகிறவன் அறிவை விரும்புகிறான்; கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலை வெறுக்கிறவனோ மிருககுணமுள்ளவன். Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

2 நல்லவன் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் தயைபெறுவான்; துர்ச்சிந்தனைகளுள்ள மனுஷனை அவர் ஆக்கினைக்குட்படுத்துவார். A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

3 துன்மார்க்கத்தினால் மனுஷன் நிலைவரப்படான்; நீதிமான்களுடைய வேரோ அசையாது. A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

4 குணசாலியான ஸ்திரீ தன் புருஷனுக்குக் கிரீடமாயிருக்கிறாள்; இலச்சை உண்டுபண்ணுகிறவளோ அவனுக்கு எலும்புருக்கியாயிருக்கிறாள். A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

5 நீதிமான்களுடைய நினைவுகள் நியாயமானவைகள்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய ஆலாசனைகளோ சூதானவைகள். The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

6 துன்மார்க்கரின் வார்த்தைகள் இரத்தஞ்சிந்தப் பதிவிருப்பதைப் பற்றியது; உத்தமர்களுடைய வாயோ அவர்களைத் தப்புவிக்கும். The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

7 துன்மார்க்கர் கவிழ்க்கப்பட்டு ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள்; நீதிமான்களுடைய வீடோ நிலைநிற்கும். The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

8 தன் புத்திக்குக்தக்கதாக மனுஷன் புகழப்படுவான்; மாறுபாடான இருதயமுள்ளவனோ இகழப்படுவான். A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

9 ஆகாரமில்லாதவனாயிருந்தும், தன்னைத்தான் கனம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுகிறவனைப்பார்க்கிலும், கனமற்றவனாயிருந்தும் பணிவிடைக்காரனுள்ளவன் உத்தமன். He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.

10 நீதிமான் தன் மிருகஜீவனைக் காப்பாற்றுகிறான்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய இரக்கமும் கொடுமையே. A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

11 தன் நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடுகிறவன் ஆகாரத்தினால் திருப்தியடைவான்; வீணரைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனோ மதியற்றவன். He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

12 துன்மார்க்கன் துஷ்டருடைய வலையை விரும்புகிறான்; நீதிமானுடைய வேர் கனி கொடுக்கும். The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

13 துன்மார்க்கனுக்கு அவன் உதடுகளின் துரோகமே கண்ணி; நீதிமானோ நெருக்கத்தினின்று நீங்குவான். The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

14 அவனவன் தன் தன் வாயின் பலனால் திருப்தியடைவான்; அவனவன் கைக்கிரியையின் பலனுக்குத்தக்கதாக அவனவனுக்குக் கிடைக்கும். A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

15 மதியீனனுடைய வழி அவன் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையாயிருக்கும்; ஆலோசனைக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறவனோ ஞானமுள்ளவன். The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

16 மூடனுடைய கோபம் சீக்கிரத்தில் வெளிப்படும்; இலச்சையை மூடுகிறவனோ விவேகி. A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

17 சத்தியவாசகன் நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்துவான்; பொய்ச்சாட்சிக்காரனோ வஞ்சகத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவான். He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

18 பட்டயக்குத்துகள்போல் பேசுகிறவர்களும் உண்டு; ஞானமுள்ளவர்களுடைய நாவோ ஔஷதம். There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

19 சத்திய உதடு என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்; பொய் நாவோ ஒரு நிமிஷமாத்திரம் இருக்கும். The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

20 தீங்கைப் பிணைக்கிறவர்களின் இருதயத்தில் இருக்கிறது கபடம்; சமாதானம்பண்ணுகிற ஆலோசனைக்காரருக்கு உள்ளது சந்தோஷம். Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

21 நீதிமானுக்கு ஒரு கேடும் வராது; துன்மார்க்கரோ தீமையினால் நிறையப்படுவார்கள். There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

22 பொய் உதடுகள் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்; உண்மையாய் நடக்கிறவர்களோ அவருக்குப் பிரியம். Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

23 விவேகமுள்ள மனுஷன் அறிவை அடக்கிவைக்கிறான்; மூடருடைய இருதயமோ மதியீனத்தைப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்தும். A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.

24 ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவர்களுடைய கை ஆளுகைசெய்யும்; சோம்பேறியோ பகுதிகட்டுவான். The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

25 மனுஷனுடைய இருதயத்திலுள்ள கவலை அதை ஒடுக்கும்; நல்வார்த்தையோ அதை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும். Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

26 நீதிமான் தன் அயலானைப்பார்க்கிலும் மேன்மையுள்ளவன்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய வழியோ அவர்களை மோசப்படுத்தும். The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

27 சோம்பேறி தான் வேட்டையாடிப் பிடித்ததைச் சமைப்பதில்லை; ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவனுடைய பொருளோ அருமையானது. The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

28 நீதியின் பாதையில் ஜீவன் உண்டு; அந்தப் பாதையில் மரணம் இல்லை. In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

1 Puththimathikalai virumpukiravan arivai virumpukiraan; katinthukolluthalai veraுkkiravano mirukakunamullavan. Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

2 Nallavan karththaridaththil thayaiperaுvaan; thurchchinthanaikalulla manushanai avar aakkinaikkutpaduththuvaar. A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

3 Thunmaarkkaththinaal manushan nilaivarappadaan; neethimaankalutaiya vaero asaiyaathu. A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

4 Kunasaaliyaana sthiree than purushanukkuk kireedamaayirukkiraal; ilachchaை unndupannnukiravalo avanukku elumpurukkiyaayirukkiraal. A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

5 Neethimaankalutaiya ninaivukal niyaayamaanavaikal; thunmaarkkarutaiya aalaasanaikalo soothaanavaikal. The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

6 Thunmaarkkarin vaarththaikal iraththanjinthap pathiviruppathaip pattiyathu; uththamarkalutaiya vaayo avarkalaith thappuvikkum. The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

14 Avanavan than than vaayin palanaal thirupthiyataivaan; avanavan kaikkiriyaiyin palanukkuththakkathaaka avanavanukkuk kitaikkum. A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

15 Mathiyeenanutaiya vali avan paarvaikkuch semmaiyaayirukkum; aalosanaikkuch sevikodukkiravano njaanamullavan. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

24 Jaakkirathaiyullavarkalutaiya kai aalukaiseyyum; sompaeriyo pakuthikattuvaan. The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

25 Manushanutaiya iruthayaththilulla kavalai athai odukkum; nalvaarththaiyo athai makilchchiyaakkum. Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

26 Neethimaan than ayalaanaippaarkkilum maenmaiyullavan; thunmaarkkarutaiya valiyo avarkalai mosappaduththum. The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

27 Sompaeri thaan vaettaைyaatip pitiththathaich samaippathillai; jaakkirathaiyullavanutaiya porulo arumaiyaanathu. The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

28 Neethiyin paathaiyil jeevan unndu; anthap paathaiyil maranam illai. In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
