Genesis 25:22
ଯେ ଦବେଳେେ ରିବିକା ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ହେଲା, ନିଜ ନିଜ ଭିତ ରେ ଶିଶୁମାନେ ଛନ୍ଦାଛନ୍ଦି ହେଲେ। ରିବିକା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରି କହିଲା, ମାେ ପ୍ରତି ଏପରି କାହିଁକି ଘଟିଲା?

ଯେତବେେଳେ ଶାଉଲ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ଉତ୍ତର କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସ୍ବପ୍ନଦ୍ବାରା କିମ୍ବା ଉରୀମ୍ ଦ୍ବାରା ନା ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମଧ୍ଯ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ତା'ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରି କହିଲେ, ମୁ ଏହି ସୈନ୍ଯଦଳ ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ, ମୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଧରି ପାରିବି କି?
ଯିହିଜିକଲ 20:31
ଯେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଉପହାର ଆଣୁଛ, ନିଜ ନିଜ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରୁଛ ? ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ, ମାଠାରୁେ ଉପଦେଶ ନବୋକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁମତି ଦବେି କି ? ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବାୟାଏ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପଦେଶ କି ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦବେି ନାହିଁ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଏ କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି ଥରେ ମୁଁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବଂଶର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣିବି। ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦ୍ବିଗୁଣିତ କରିବି, ଯାହା ଫଳ ରେ ସମାନେେ ପଲ ରେ ଥିବା ମଷେ ସଂଖ୍ଯକ ହବେେ।
