Genesis 21:23
ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାଠାେ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କର। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କର ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେପ୍ରତି ଓ ମାରେସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତ କରିବ ନାହିଁ। ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା ଦଖାଇବେ ଏବଂ ମାରେ ଦେଶ ଯେଉଁଠା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏକ ବିଦେଶୀ ପରି ବାସ କରୁଛ। ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା କରିବ। ମୁଁ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦୟା ଦଖାଇେଛି।

ଯୋନାଥନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶାନ୍ତି ରେ ୟାଅ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଛକ୍ସ୍ଟ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସର୍ବଦା ବନ୍ଧକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହାଇେ ରହିବା। ଆମ୍ଭେ କହିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଚିରଦିନ ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ବଂଶଧରମାନଙ୍କର ସାକ୍ଷୀ।

ତା'ପରେ ଯୋନାଥନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସ୍ନହେ କରିବାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତା'ର ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ଦୋହୋରାଇଲେ ଓ ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କରିଥିବା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ପକ୍ସ୍ଟନର୍ବାର ସତ୍ଯତା ପ୍ରମାଣ କରାଇବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଚାରିଲେ। ଯୋନାଥନ ଏପରି କଲା କାରଣ ସେ ନିଜକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯେତିକି ଭଲ ପାଉଥିଲେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେିପରି ଭଲ ପାଉଥିଲେ।

ଯଦି ମାରେବାପା ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭହାଁନ୍ତି ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜଣାଇ ଦବେି। ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନିରାପଦ ରେ ପଠାଇ ଦବେି। ମୁ ଯଦି ଏହା ନ କରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ଦଣ୍ତ ଦବେେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେପରି ମାରେ ବାପାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି ସହେିପରି ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ରକ୍ସ୍ଟହନ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟ।
