ପାଉଲ ତୀମଥିଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ସହିତ ନବୋପାଇଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ। ତାହାଙ୍କର ପିତା ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ ବୋଲି ସମସ୍ତେ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ପାଉଲ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ହତେୁ ସୁନ୍ନତ କରି ଦେଲେ।
