ମନ୍ଦିରର ମଜେ ଉପରେ ବିଶଷେ ରୋଟୀ ରଖିବାର ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଥିଲା। ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ, ସମାନଙ୍କେର ମଇଦା, ଶସ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ଓ ଖମିର ବିନା ରୋଟୀ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବାର ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ଥିଲା। ପିଠା ପାକ କରିବା ଓ ମିଶ୍ରିତ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବା ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଥିଲା। ସମାନେେ ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାର ମାପ ତୌଲି କରୁଥିଲେ।

ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଘ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଥିଲେ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଅର୍ପଣ କରାଯାଇଥିବା ପବିତ୍ର ରୋଟୀ ସେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଖାଇଦଇେଥିଲେ। ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଅନୁସାରେ ଦାଉଦ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଥୀମାନଙ୍କର ଏହା ଖାଇବା ଅଧିକାର ନଥିଲା। କାରଣ କବଳେ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହା ଖାଇବାପାଇଁ ଅନୁମତି ଦିଆଯାଇଥାଏ।

ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଦର୍ଶନୀଯ ରୋଟୀର ଓ ନିତ୍ଯ ଭକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ନବୈେଦ୍ଯର ଓ ନିତ୍ଯ ହାମବେଳିର, ବିଶ୍ରାମ ବାରର ଅମାବାସ୍ଯାର, ନିରୂପିତ ପର୍ବାଦିର ଓ ପବିତ୍ର ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯାଦିର ଓ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପ୍ରାଯଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତାର୍ଥକ ପାପବଳିର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ସମସ୍ତ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ନିମନ୍ତେ।

ଏହାପରେ ସମାନେେ ରାଜା ହିଜକିଯଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲେ। ସମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ରାଜା ହିଜକିଯ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମଗ୍ର ମନ୍ଦିର, ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଧୂପ ଜ୍ବଳାଇବାର ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀ ଓ ମନ୍ଦିରସ୍ଥ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷଯକୁ ପରିଷ୍କାର କରିଅଛୁ। ଧାଡ଼ିଧାଡ଼ି ଦର୍ଶନୀଯ ରୋଟୀ ରଖାୟିବାର ମଳେ ଓ ମଳେ ରେ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ସାମଗ୍ରୀକୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପରିଷ୍କାର କରିଅଛୁ।
ଦିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 13:11
ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରଭାତ ରେ ଓ ପ୍ରତି ସନ୍ଧ୍ଯା ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ହାମବେଳି ଓ ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ଧୂପ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ମନ୍ଦିର ମଧିଅରେ ଥିବା ବିଶଷେ ମଜେ ଉପରେ ଧାଡ଼ି ରେ ରୋଟୀ ସଜାଇ ରଖନ୍ତି। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରଦୀପଧାର ଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଯତ୍ନ ନିଅନ୍ତି, ତେଣୁ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ସନ୍ଧ୍ଯା ରେ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ଝକ୍ମକ୍ କରେ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅତି ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରୁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣରୂପେ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଅଛ।

ଅନ୍ୟ ଦ୍ବାରପାଳମାନେ କାଠ ଆସବାବପତ୍ର ଓ ବିଶଷେ ପାତ୍ରଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଯତ୍ନ ନବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନୋନୀତ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନେେ ମଇଦା, ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ, ତୈଳ, ସୁଗନ୍ଧଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ଓ ବିଶଷେ ତୈଳର ଯତ୍ନ ନେଉଥିଲେ।
