Proverbs 26 - DBY (Oriya)

1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour beseemeth not a fool.ଗ୍ରୀଷ୍ମକାଳ ରେ ହିମ ଓ ଫସଲ ସମୟରେ ବୃଷ୍ଟି ସହେିପରି ମୂର୍ଖକୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଅନୁପୟୁକ୍ତ ଅଟେ।

2 As the sparrow for flitting about, as the swallow for flying, so a curse undeserved shall not come.ଘରଚଟିଆ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ଓ ଡ଼ାଳ ଚଟିଆ ଡ଼ଉଡ଼ୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ସପରେି ଆକାରଣ ରେ ଦତ୍ତ ଶାପ ନିକଟକୁ ଆ ସେ ନାହିଁ।

3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the back of fools.ଅଶ୍ବ ପାଇଁ କୋରଡ଼ା, ଗଧ ପାଇଁ ଲଗାମ, ପୁଣି ମୂର୍ଖର ପିଠି ପାଇଁ ବାଡ଼ି ଦରକାର।

4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.ମୂର୍ଖକୁ ତା'ର ଅଜ୍ଞାନତା ଅନୁସାରେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଏପରି ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଅ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ଯ ତାହାର ତୁଲ୍ଯ ହବେ।

5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.ମୂର୍ଖକୁ ତା'ର ଅଜ୍ଞାନତାନୁସା ରେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଅ। ନୋହିଲେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ବୋଧ କରିବ।

6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off [his own] feet, [and] drinketh damage.ମୂର୍ଖ ମାଧ୍ଯମ ରେ ଯେ ସମାଚାର ପଠାଏ, ସେ ଆପଣା ପାଦ ଆପେ କାଟି କ୍ଷତି ଭୋଗ କରେ। ସେ ନିଜ ଉପରକୁ ଅସୁବିଧା ନିଜେ ଆଣେ।

7 The legs of the lame hang loose; so is a proverb in the mouth of fools.ଲେଙ୍ଗଡ଼ୋର ଚରଣ ଯେପରି ଅଦରକାରୀ ଭାବେ ଝୁଲୁଥାଏ, ଅଜ୍ଞାନର ମୁଖ ରେ ହିତାପଦେେଶ ବାକ୍ଯ ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି।

8 As a bag of gems in a stoneheap, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.ପ୍ରସ୍ତରକୁ ବାଟୁଳି ରେ ବାନ୍ଧିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବା ଯେପରି ବ୍ଯବହାର୍ୟ୍ଯହୀନ, ସହେିପରି ନିର୍ବୋଧକୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ଦବୋ ଅଟେ।

9 [As] a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a proverb in the mouth of fools.ମତ୍ତଲୋକର ହସ୍ତ ରେ କଣ୍ଟକ ଉଠାୟିବା ଯେପରି, ମୂର୍ଖମାନଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ରେ ହିତାପଦେେଶ ବାକ୍ଯ ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି ଅଟେ।

10 A master roughly worketh every one: he both hireth the fool and hireth passers-by.ବାଣୁଆ ଯେପରି ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଷତବିକ୍ଷତ କରେ, ସପରେି ସହେି ଲୋକ ଯେ ମୂର୍ଖ ପଥିକକୁ ବତନେ ଦିଏ ଓ ଯେ ମଦୁଆକୁ ବତନେ ଦିଏ।

11 As a dog turneth back to its vomit, [so] a fool repeateth his folly.ଆପଣା ବାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରତି ଫରେିବା କୁକୁରର ଯେପରି, ବାରମ୍ବାର ଆପଣା ଅଜ୍ଞାନତା ରେ କର୍ମ କରିବା ମୂର୍ଖ ସପରେି।

12 Hast thou seen a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope of a fool than of him.ଯେଉଁ ମୂର୍ଖ ଲୋକର ବହୁତ ଆଶା ଅଛି, ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ୟିଏ ଭାବେ ସେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ, ସେତବେେଳେ ସେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ନ ଥାଏ।

13 The sluggard saith, There is a fierce lion in the way; a lion is in the midst of the streets!ଅଳସୁଆ କ ହେ, ବାଟରେ ସିଂହ ଅଛି, ସଡ଼କରେ ସିଂହ ଅଛି।

14 [As] the door turneth upon its hinges, so the sluggard upon his bed.କବଜା ରେ ଯେପରି କବାଟ ଝୁଲେ, ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି ଅଳସୁଆ ଆପଣା ଶୟ୍ଯା ରେ ଥାଇ ଝୁଲୁଥାଏ।

15 The sluggard burieth his hand in the dish: it wearieth him to bring it again to his mouth.ଅଳସୁଆ ଥାଳି ରେ ହାତ ବୁଡ଼ାଇ ଆଉଥରେ ତାହା ମୁଖକୁ ନବୋକୁ ଥକିୟାଏ।

16 A sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven [men] that answer discreetly.ସାତଜଣ ସୁବିଚାରଶୁଦ୍ଧ ଉତ୍ତରକାରୀ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଳସୁଆ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ୍।

17 He that passing by vexeth himself with strife belonging not to him, is [like] one that taketh a dog by the ears.ଜଣେ ପଥିକ ୟିଏ ୟୁକ୍ତିତର୍କ ରେ ଜଡ଼ିତ ହୁଏ, ଯାହା ତା'ର ସମ୍ପର୍କ ରେ ନ ଥାଏ। ସେ କୁକୁରର କାନ ଧରିବା ଲୋକତୁଲ୍ଯ ଅଟୋ

18 As a madman who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀକି ଯେଉଁଲୋକ ଭୁଲାଇ କ ହେ, ମୁଁ କୌତୁକ କରୁଛି।

19 so is a man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am I not in sport?ସେ ଅଗ୍ନିବାଣ, ତୀର ଓ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ନିକ୍ଷପକୋରୀ ବାତୁଳ ପରି ଅଟେ।

20 Where no wood is, the fire goeth out; and where there is no talebearer, the contention ceaseth.କାଠ ବିନା ଯେପରି ନିଆଁ ଲିଭିୟାଏ ଏବଂ କଳହକାରୀ ବିନା ବାଜେ କଥା ସ୍ଥଗିତ ହାଇୟୋଏ।

21 [As] coals for hot coals, and wood for fire, so is a contentious man to inflame strife.ଯେପରି ଭାବରେ ଜ୍ବଳନ୍ତା ଅଙ୍ଗାରକୁ ଅଙ୍ଗାର ଆଲୋକ ଦିଏ ଅଗ୍ନିକୁ କାଠ ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି ବିବାଦ ବଢ଼ାଇବାକୁ କଳିହୁଡା ଲୋକ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥାଏ।

22 The words of a talebearer are as dainty morsels, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.ଭର୍ତ୍ସନା ମନପସନ୍ଦ ଖାଦ୍ୟପରି ଅଟେ, ଏହା ଉଦରର ଅନ୍ତରାଳଯକୁ ଚାଲିୟାଏ।

23 Ardent lips, and a wicked heart, are [as] an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross.ଅନୁରାଗୀ କଥା ଓ ମନ୍ଦ ହୃଦଯ ରୂପା ଖାଦ ରେ ମଣ୍ଡିତ ମୃତ୍ତିକା ପାତ୍ର ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଅଟେ।

24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, but he layeth up deceit within him:ଘୃଣାକାରୀ ନିଜ କଥା ରେ କପଟ କରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ହୃଦଯ ରେ ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନା ରେଖ।

25 when his voice is gracious, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart.ସେ ମିଷ୍ଟ ସ୍ବର ରେ କହିଲେ, ତାହାକୁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କର ନାହିଁ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ତା'ର ହୃଦଯ ରେ ସାତଟା ଘୃଣ୍ଯ ବିଷଯ ଥାଏ।

26 Though [his] hatred is covered by dissimulation, his wickedness shall be made manifest in the congregation.ତାହାର ଘୃଣା କପଟ ରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଆବୃତ୍ତ କଲେ ହେଁ, ତା'ର ମନ୍ଦତା ସଭା ରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଏ।

27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein; and he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him.ଯେ ଗାତ ଖୋଳେ, ସେ ଆପେ ହିଁ ସହେି ଗାତ ରେ ପଡ଼ିଥାଏ। ଏବଂ ଯେ ପଥର ଗଡ଼ାଏ, ତାହା ତା ଉପରକୁ ଲେଉଟି ଥାଏ।

28 A lying tongue hateth those that are injured by it, and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.ମିଥ୍ଯାବାଦୀ ଜିହ୍ବା ଯାହାକୁ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରେ, ତାହାକୁ ହିଁ ଘୃଣା କରେ। ପୁଣି ଚାଟୁବାଦୀ କଥା ସର୍ବନାଶ କରେ।
