Proverbs 13 - DBY (Oriya)

1 A wise son [heareth] his father's instruction; but a scorner heareth not rebuke.ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ପୁତ୍ର ପିତାଙ୍କର ଉପଦେଶ ଯତ୍ନ ସହକା ରେ ଶୁଣେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଗର୍ବୀ ମୂର୍ଖ ଲୋକ କାହାରି ଉପଦେଶ ଶୁଣେ ନାହିଁ।

2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth; but the soul of the treacherous, violence.ଉତ୍ତମ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଶବ୍ଦଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଉତ୍ତମ ଫଳ ଭୋଗ କରନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତକ ଲୋକମାନେ ହିଂସାରୁ ଭୋଗ କରୋ

3 He that guardeth his mouth keepeth his soul; destruction shall be to him that openeth wide his lips.ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ମୁଖର କଥାକୁ ଜଗେ ସେ ତା'ର ଜୀବନ ରକ୍ଷା କରେ। ଯେ ଚିନ୍ତା ନ କରି କ ହେ ସେ ବିନାଶ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଏ।

4 A sluggard's soul desireth and hath nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.ଅଳସୁଆ ଯାହା ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ତାହା ପାଏ ନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର କର୍ମଶୀଳ ଲୋକ ବା ପରିଶ୍ରମୀ ଲୋକ ତା'ର ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁସା ରେ ଫଳ ଭୋଗ କରେ।

5 A righteous [man] hateth lying; but the wicked maketh himself odious and cometh to shame.ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ମିଥ୍ଯାକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ଲଜ୍ଜା ଭୋଗ କରେ।

6 Righteousness preserveth him that is perfect in the way; but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.ଧାର୍ମିକତା ସରଳ ପଥଗାମୀକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ପାପୀକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରେ।

7 There is that feigneth himself rich, and hath nothing; there is that maketh himself poor, and hath great wealth.କହେି କହେି ଆପଣାକୁ ଧନୀ ବୋଲି ପରିଚଯ ଦିଅନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତା'ର କିଛି ନ ଥାଏ। ମାତ୍ର କେତକଙ୍କେର ଧନ ଥାଇ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନେେ ଦରିତ୍ର ପରି ଆଚରଣ କରନ୍ତି।

8 The ransom of a man's life is his riches; but the indigent heareth not rebuke.ମନୁଷ୍ଯର ଧନ ତାହାର ପ୍ରାଣର ପ୍ରାଯଶ୍ଚିତ ସ୍ବରୂପ। ମାତ୍ର ଦରିଦ୍ ରେଲାକ ଧମକ ଶୁଣେ ନାହିଁ।

9 The light of the righteous rejoiceth; but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକେ ଆଲୋକବର୍ତ୍ତିକା ପରି, ଯାହାକି ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ବଳ ପରି ଆଲୋକ ଦିଏ।

10 By pride there only cometh contention; but with the well-advised is wisdom.ଅହଙ୍କାରରୁ କବଳେ କଳି ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୁଏ। ମାତ୍ର ସୁପରାମର୍ଶ ଗ୍ରାହକଠା ରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଅଛି।

11 Wealth [gotten] by vanity diminisheth; but he that gathereth by manual-labour shall increase [it].ଅସତ୍ଯ ଉପାଯ ରେ ଅର୍ଜିଥିବା ଧନ ଧ୍ବଂସ ପାଇବ। ମାତ୍ର ସତ୍ଯ ଅର୍ଜିତ ଧନ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବ।

12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick; but the desire [that] cometh to pass is a tree of life.ଆଶା ସିଦ୍ଧିର ବିଳମ୍ବ ମନର ପୀଡ଼ାଜନକ। ମାତ୍ର ବାଞ୍ଛାର ସିଦ୍ଧିଜୀବନ ବୃକ୍ଷ ସ୍ବରୂପ।

13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be held by it; but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ ମନେ କରେ, ସେ ନିଜର ବିନାଶ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଆଜ୍ଞାକୁ ଭୟ କରେ, ସେ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହବେ।

14 The teaching of the wise [man] is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଜୀବନ ରେ ଝର ସ୍ବରୂପ ଅଟେ, ସେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଫାନ୍ଦରୁ ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରେ।

15 Good understanding procureth favour; but the way of the treacherous is hard.ଜଣେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ୟିଏ ଭଲ ଉପଦେଶ ଦିଏ, ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଲାଭ କରେ କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରତାରକଗଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବିପର୍ୟ୍ଯଯକୁ ଆଗଇେ ନିଅନ୍ତି।

16 Every prudent [man] acteth with knowledge; but the foolish layeth open [his] folly.ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଚତୁର ଲୋକ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ରେ କର୍ମ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ମୂର୍ଖ ଅଜ୍ଞାନତା ବିସ୍ତାର କରେ।

17 A wicked messenger falleth into evil; but a faithful ambassador is health.ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାବାହକ ଆପଦ ରେ ପଡ଼େ, ମାତ୍ର ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ଦୃଢ଼ ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ଯଜନକ।

18 Poverty and shame shall be [to] him that refuseth instruction; but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.ଯେଉଁ ଜନ ଶାସନ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ଯ କରେ, ସେ ଦରିଦ୍ରତା ଓ ଲଜ୍ଜ୍ଯା ପାଏ। ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ଅନୁୟୋଗ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ମର୍ୟ୍ଯାଦା ପାଏ।

19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul; but it is abomination to the foolish to depart from evil.ବାଞ୍ଛା ସିଦ୍ଧି ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ଆନନ୍ଦ ଦିଏ। ଏବଂ ମନ୍ଦ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିବା ମୂର୍ଖ ଲୋକ ପାଇଁ ଘୃଣାର ବିଷଯ।

20 He that walketh with wise [men] becometh wise; but a companion of the foolish will be depraved.ଜ୍ଞାନୀର ସଙ୍ଗୀ ହୁଅ, ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ହବେ। ମାତ୍ର ମୂର୍ଖମାନଙ୍କର ସଙ୍ଗୀ କଷ୍ଟଦାୟକ।

21 Evil pursueth sinners; but to the righteous good shall be repaid.ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ମନ୍ଦ ଅନୁସରଣ କରେ। ମାତ୍ର ଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଙ୍ଗଳରୂପ ପୁରସ୍କାର ଦତ୍ତ ହବେ।

22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children; but the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous [man].ଉତ୍ତମ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପୌତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅଧିକାର ଛାଡ଼ିୟାଏ। ମାତ୍ର ପାପୀର ଧନ ଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସଞ୍ଚିତ ହୁଏ।

23 Much food is in the tillage of the poor; but there is that is lost for want of judgment.ଯଭେଳି ଗରୀବ ଲୋକ ତା'ର ଜମି ଚାଷ କରେ, ସେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଶସ୍ଯ ପାଇପା ରେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନ୍ଯାଯ କାରଣରୁ ଏହା ବିନାଶ ହୁଏ।

24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son; but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.ଯେ ବାଡ଼ି ବ୍ଯବହାର କରିବାକୁ ତ୍ରୁଟି କରେ, ସେ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ। ଯେ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରେ, ସେ ଯଥା ସମୟରେ ଶାସ୍ତି ପାଏ।

25 The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul; but the belly of the wicked shall want.ଧାର୍ମିକ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣର ତୃପ୍ତି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଖାଏ। ମାତ୍ର ପାପୀର ଉଦର ଅତୃପ୍ତ ଥାଏ।
