Romans 9:8
ଏହାର ଅର୍ଥ ଯେ ଅବ୍ରାହମଙ୍କ ବଂଶର ସମସ୍ତେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରକୃତ ସନ୍ତାନ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି। କବଳେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ଦ୍ବାରା ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ହଇେଥିଲେ ସହେିମାନେ ଅବ୍ରାହମଙ୍କ ପ୍ରକୃତ ସନ୍ତାନ ହେଲେ।

ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ନଇେଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ପ୍ରମାଣିତ କରିବା ଲାଗି ଅବ୍ରାହାମଙ୍କୁ ପରେ ସୁନ୍ନତ କରାଯାଇ ଥିଲା। ଏହି ସୁନ୍ନତ ପ୍ରମାଣ କରୁଛି ଯେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହବୋ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଥିଲେ। ସେଥିପାଇଁ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହାଇେ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି, ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ପିତା ଅବ୍ରାହାମ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଏହି କାରଣରୁ ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବୋଲି ନିରୁପିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।

ଯେଉଁମାନେ ନିଜ ଜୀବନ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ନତେୃତ୍ବ ନିଅନ୍ତି ସମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରକୃତ ସନ୍ତାନ।

ପରମପିତା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅତ୍ଯଧିକ ପ୍ ରମେ କଲେ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନ ରୂପେ ନାମିତ ହବୋ ଦ୍ବାରା ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ତାଙ୍କର ମହାନ୍ ପ୍ ରମେ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଏ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ତାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନ ଅଟୁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏ ଜଗତ ( ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ) ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନିପାରି ନ ଥିବାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ବୋଲି ଚିହ୍ନି ପାରୁ ନାହିଁ।
