ଗୀତସଂହିତା 8

1 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ନାମ ଏ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ସବୁଠାରୁ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯଜନକ ଓ ପ୍ରଶଂସାୟୁକ୍ତ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ନାମ ସ୍ବର୍ଗରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ପ୍ରଶଂସା ୟୋଗ୍ଯ ଅଟେ।

2 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କର ମୁହଁ ବନ୍ଦ କରିବାକୁ ଶିଶୁ ଓ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ କଣ୍ଠରେ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ଗୀତ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଅଛି।

3 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେ ଉପରେ ଥିବା ସ୍ବର୍ଗକୁ ଚାହିଁଲେ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଙ୍ଗୁଳି ଦ୍ବାରା ନିର୍ମିତ ବୋଲି ଜଣାପଡ଼େ। ମୁଁ ସହେି ଆକାଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଓ ନକ୍ଷତ୍ରଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖେ ଓ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯ ହୁଏ।

4 କାହିଁକି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମନୁଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏତେ ପ୍ରାଧାନ୍ଯ ଦିଅ ? କାହିଁକି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର କ୍ଷତ ନିଅ ? କାହିଁକି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଏତେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଦିଅ ?

5 କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ମହତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଛ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଗୌରବ ଓ କୀର୍ତ୍ତିରେ ମୁକୁଟ ମଣ୍ଡିତ କରିଛ।

6 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ତିଆରି କରୁଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ବସ୍ତୁରେ ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିଷ୍ଠିତ କରିଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସବୁ ସହେିମାନଙ୍କ ନିଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣରେ ଛାଡ଼ି ଦଇେଛ।

7 ଗୋରୁଗାଈ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ବଣୁଆ ପଶୁଗଣ।

8 ଆକାଶର ଉଡ଼ୁଥିବା ପକ୍ଷୀମାନେ ଓ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ମାଛମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

9 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଏହି ପୃଥିବୀରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନାମ ସବୁଠାରେ ମହିମାନ୍ବିତ।

2 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

3 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

4 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

5 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

6 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

7 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

8 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

9 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

10 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
