Proverbs 1:5
ଏପରିକି ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଶୁଣିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଏଥିରୁ ସମାନେେ ବହୁଜ୍ଞାନ ଲାଭ କରିବେ। ଶିକ୍ଷିତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏପରିକି ଅଧିକ ବୁଝାମଣା ଶକ୍ତି ପାଇବେ।

ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତା ଯେତବେେଳେ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ, ଅମତ୍ସିଯ ସହେି ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ପରାମର୍ଶଦାତା ନୁହଁ। ନୀରବ ରୁହ ! ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନୀରବ ନ ରୁହ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରାୟିବ ! ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ୍ବକ୍ତା ନୀରବ ହାଇଗେଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତା'ପରେ କହିଲେ, ପରମେଶ୍ବର ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ଥିର କରିଛନ୍ତି। କାହିଁକି ? କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ମନ୍ଦ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯସବୁ କଲ ଓ ମାରେ ଉପଦେଶ ଶୁଣିଲ ନାହିଁ।
ଆୟୁବ ପୁସ୍ତକ 34:10
ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବୁଝାମଣା ସମ୍ପନ୍ନ ମଣିଷ ମାେ କଥା ଶୁଣ। କୌଣସି ମନ୍ଦ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଅସମ୍ଭବ! ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ପରମେଶ୍ବର କୌଣସି ଭୁଲ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ମନୁଷ୍ଯ, ତା' ହେଲେ ମାେ କଥା ମନଦଇେ ଶୁଣ।

ଯଦି ଜଣେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ହବୋକୁ ଚା ହେଁ, ସେ ତା'ର ଭୁଲକୁ ଠିକ୍ କରିବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଏ। ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଅନୁ ଯୋଗ ଘୃଣା କରେ ସେ ମୂର୍ଖ।
