Nehemiah 10:28
ତେଣୁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମିଶି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏକ ଶପଥ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶପଥ ନରଖୁ, ତବେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସବୁ ଅଘଟଣ ଘଟିବ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ତାଙ୍କର ଦାସ ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ଦ୍ବାରା ଘାଷେଣା କରାଗଲା। ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ସାବଧାନ ସହକା ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଓ ନିଯମ ମାନିବା ପାଇଁ ଶପଥ କଲେ।

ତେଣୁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମିଶି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏକ ଶପଥ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶପଥ ନରଖୁ, ତବେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସବୁ ଅଘଟଣ ଘଟିବ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ତାଙ୍କର ଦାସ ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ଦ୍ବାରା ଘାଷେଣା କରାଗଲା। ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନେ ସାବଧାନ ସହକା ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଓ ନିଯମ ମାନିବା ପାଇଁ ଶପଥ କଲେ।
