ଯୀଶୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ସେ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରୁ ଅଲଗା ହାଇଗେଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ବର୍ଗକୁ ନିଆଗଲା।

ଯୀଶୁ ପ୍ ରରେିତମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏତିକି କହିବା ପରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆକାଶକୁ ଉେଠଇ ନିଆଗଲା। ପ୍ ରରେିତମାନେ ଦେଖୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଖଣ୍ଡେ ମେଘ ଭିତରକୁ ଚାଲିଗଲେ, ଓ ସମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଦେଖିପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁସା ରେ ସହେି ଦାନ ପାଇଛନ୍ତି। ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ର କୁ ହେ :
ଏବ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପତ୍ର 1:3
ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମହିମାର ଅବିକଳ ପ୍ରତିମୂର୍ତ୍ତି। ସହେି ପୁତ୍ର ନିଜର ଶକ୍ତିୟୁକ୍ତ ବାକ୍ଯ ଦ୍ବାରା ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ବିଷୟକୁ ଧରି ରଖିଛନ୍ତି। ସହେି ପୁତ୍ର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାପରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପବିତ୍ର କଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସେ ସ୍ବର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ମହାମହିମ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଡ଼ାହାଣପଟ ରେ ବସିଲେ।
