1 ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਲਈ: “ਸਵੇਰ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਨ” ਦੀ ਧੁਨੀ। ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ। ਤੁਸਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਂ।
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

2 ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਦਿਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੁਗਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਰਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ ਪੁਕਾਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

3 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੋ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਸਤਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਤਖਤ ਹਨ।
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

4 ਸਾਡੇ ਪੂਰਵਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਹਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ।
Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

5 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪੂਰਵਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਕੀਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।
They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

6 ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਰਾ ਕੀੜਾ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ? ਲੋਕੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7 ਹਰ ਕੋਈ, ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਂਦਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਫ਼ੇਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੰਦੀਆਂ ਚਿੜ੍ਹਾਵਨ।
All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

8 ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ: “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕੇ। ਜੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇੰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”
He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

9 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਕੂਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੁੰਘਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਸਾਂ।
But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

10 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।
I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.

11 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੋ। ਸੰਕਟ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

12 ਲੋਕੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਤਕੜੇ ਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੇਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

13 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਬੱਬਰ ਦਹਾੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਤਾਈਂ ਪਾੜੇ।
They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

14 ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਡੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਲੱਗ-ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

15 ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਵੀ ਟੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਗਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਟੋਟਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੀ ਜੀਭ ਤਾਲੂ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ “ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ” ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

16 ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17 ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੇ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਿਟਰ-ਬਿਟਰ ਤਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਹੀ ਦੇਖੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

18 ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵੰਡ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਚੋਲੇ ਲਈ ਗੁਣੇ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

19 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੋ। ਛੇਤੀ ਬਹੁੜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੋ।
But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

20 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ। ਮੇਰੀ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਤਿਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ।
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

21 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਬਾੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਵੋ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਗਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉ।
Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

22 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

23 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੋ, ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀਉ ਔਲਾਦੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਕਰੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਕਰੋ।
Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

24 ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੰਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਲੋ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੁੱਪੇਗਾ।
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

25 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਵੱਡੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਉਪਾਸੱਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ, ਮੈਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

26 ਗਰੀਬ ਲੋਕੋ, ਆਉ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰੋ ਤੇ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਆਏ ਹੋ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੋ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਰਹਿਣ।
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

27 ਦੂਰ ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਨ, ਤੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਜਾਣ। ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਿਕ ਸਮੂਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ।
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28 ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations.

29 ਤਕੜੇ, ਨਿਰੋਗ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਨਿਵਾਇਆ। ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕ, ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਨਿਵਾਉਣਗੇ।
All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

30 ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਾਡੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਲੋਕੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਸਤਤਾਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

31 ਹਰੇਕ ਪੀੜੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਸੇਗੀ।
They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
