ଏହାପ ରେ ଇଶମାଯଲେ, ମିସ୍ପା ରେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜକନ୍ଯାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଓ ମିସ୍ପା ରେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଥିବା ଯେଉଁସବୁ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ସନୋପତି ନବୂଷରଦନ୍ ଅହୀକାମର ପୁତ୍ର ଗଦଲିଯ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲା, ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବନ୍ଦୀକରି ନଇଗେଲା ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବନ୍ଦୀକରି ଅମ୍ ନୋନ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ନିକଟକୁ ୟିବାପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲା।

ରୋହାନନ୍ ଓ ସହେି ଅଧିପତିଗଣ ଗଦଲିଯକୁ କହିଲେ, ଅମ୍ନୋନ୍ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ରାଜା ବାଲୀସ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ନବୋପାଇଁ ନଥନିଯର ପୁତ୍ର ଇଶମାଯଲକେୁ ପଠାଇଅଛି ବୋଲି ଆପଣ ଜାଣନ୍ତି କି ? ମାତ୍ର ଅହୀକାମର ପୁତ୍ର ଗଦଲିଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେ କଥା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।

ଯେତବେେଳେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ଧ୍ବଂସ ହେଲା, ସେତବେେଳେ ଯିହୁଦାର କେତକେ ସନୋପତି, ଅଧିପତି ଓ ଲୋକ ବାହା ରେ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଯେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଅହୀକାମର ପୁତ୍ର ଗଦଲିଯକୁ ଦେଶର ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତା ରୂପେ ନିୟୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ଉପ ରେ ବାବିଲକୁ ନିଆୟାଇ ନ ଥିବା ପୁରୁଷ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ବାଳକ ଓ ବାଳିକା ଏବଂ ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କର ଭାର ନ୍ଯସ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

ଯିହୁଦାର ଯେଉଁସବୁ ଲୋକ ମାୟୋବ, ଅମ୍ମାନେ, ଇଦୋମ ଓ ଅନ୍ଯାନ୍ଯ ସବୁ ଦେଶ ରେ ଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଯେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ଯିହୁଦା ଏକ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଅଂଶ ଲୋକ ରଖିଅଛି ଓ ଶାଫନର ପୌତ୍ର, ଅହୀକାମର ପୁତ୍ର ଗଦଲିଯକୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଶାସନ କରିବାକୁ ନିୟୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛି।

ହାରୋଣୀଯ ସନ୍ବଲ୍ଲଟ ଓ ଅେମ୍ମାନୀୟ ଟୋବିୟ ଅଧିକାରୀଗଣ ଅତିଶଯ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେଲ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଯେ, ଜଣେ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆସିଥିଲେ।

ପୁଣି ଯିହୁଦାର ଯେଉଁ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ଲୋକେ ମିଶର ଦେଶ ରେ ପ୍ରବାସ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସଠାେକୁ ୟିବା ଲାଗି ଆଗ୍ରହୀ ହାଇେଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଧରିବା। ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଲୁପ୍ତ ହବେେ, ମିଶର ଦେଶ ରେ ପତିତ ହବେେ। ଖଡ୍ଗ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ରେ ସମାନେେ ଲୁପ୍ତ ହବେେ। କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ଓ ମହାନ୍ ସମସ୍ତେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ରେ ମରିବେ। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଅଭିଶାପ, ବିସ୍ମଯ, ଶାପ ଓ ନିନ୍ଦାର ପାତ୍ର ହବେେ।

ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯ ମାନିବା ପରିବର୍ତେ କା ରହରେ ପୁତ୍ର ୟୋହାନନ୍ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ସନୋପତି ଯିହୁଦାର ସକଳ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଓ ନାନା ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ମଧ୍ଯକୁ ଜଡ଼ିତ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦା ରେ ପ୍ରବାସ କରିବାକୁ ଫରେି ଆସିଥିଲେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ମିଶରକୁ ନେଲେ।

ବାବିଲ ରାଜା ରିବ୍ଲା ରେ ସିଦିକିଯର ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ସିଦିକିଯର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲେ। ଆଉ ମଧ୍ଯ ତାଙ୍କର ଅଧିପତିଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲେ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, କନିଯ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଏହି କଥା ଲେଖ, ' ସେ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହବେ। ସେ ନିଜ ଜୀବନକାଳ ମଧିଅରେ ଭାଗ୍ଯବାନ୍ ହବେ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ତାହାର ବଂଶର କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନ ରେ ବସିବ ନାହିଁ କି ଯିହୁଦା ଉପ ରେ ଆପଣା ଶାସନ କତ୍ତୃର୍ତ୍ବ କରି ଭାଗ୍ଯବାନ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।'
