Jeremiah 34:2
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହିକଥା କହନ୍ତି, ହେ ଯିରିମିୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ୟାଇ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ହସ୍ତ ରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା, ତାହାକୁ ସେ ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବ।

ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୁଣି ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଆଜ୍ଞା ରେ' ଏହି 'ନଗରକୁ ଅଣାଇବା। ତହିଁରେ ସମାନେେ ନଗର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରି ତାହାକୁ ଅଧିକାର କରିବେ ଓ ତାହାକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବେ। ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯିହୁଦାର ସମସ୍ତ ନଗରକୁ ଜନଶୂନ୍ଯ କରି ଧ୍ବଂସ ସ୍ତୁପ ରେ ପରିରତ କରିବା।
ଯିରିମିୟ 21:10
ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି ମଙ୍ଗଳ ପାଇଁ ନୁହେଁ, ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଘଟାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ଥିର କରିଅଛୁ।ଏହି ନଗରକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାବିଲ ରାଜା ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିବା ଓ ସେ ଏହାକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବ।'
ଯିରିମିୟ 37:8
ପୁଣି କଲଦୀଯମାନେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆସି ଏହି ନଗର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବେ ଓ ସମାନେେ ତାହାକୁ ଅଧିକାର କରି ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବେ।'
ଯିରିମିୟ 32:3
ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯ ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରିଥିଲେ। କାରଣ ସେ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦବାକ୍ଯ ପ୍ରଚାର କରି କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, 'ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସର ହସ୍ତ ରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିବା।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ଯିରିମିୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯିହୁଦା ରାଜପ୍ରାସାଦକୁ ୟାଇ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ କୁହ।

କଲଦୀଯମାନେ ରାଜଗୃହ ଓ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଗୃହ ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କଲେ। ଆଉ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ପ୍ରାଚୀର ସବୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପକାଇଲେ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 38:23
ପୁଣି ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣି କଲଦୀଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦବେେ। ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ହସ୍ତରୁ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ। ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଧରାୟିବ। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ଏହି ନଗରକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବେ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 37:1
ଅନନ୍ତର ଯିହାୟୋଦାରକୀମର ପୁତ୍ର କୀଯର ପଦ ରେ ଯୋଶିୟଯର ପୁତ୍ର ସିଦିକିଯ ରାଜା ହାଇେ ରାଜତ୍ବ କଲା। ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସର ତାହାକୁ ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶର ରାଜା କରିଥିଲା।
ଯିରିମିୟ 32:28
ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା ମଧ୍ଯ କହିଲେ, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ କଲଦୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଓ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦନିତ୍ସରର ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଏହି ନଗର ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା। ସେ ତାହା ହସ୍ତଗତ କରିବେ।
