ଯିରିମିୟ 21:7
ଏସବୁ ଘଟିଲା ପ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯିହୁଦା ରାଜା ସିଦିକିଯଙ୍କୁ, ତାହାର ଦାସଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମହାମାରୀ, ଖଡ୍ଗ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷରୁ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିବେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସରଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରାଣନାଶକାରୀଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା। ଆଉ ସମାନେେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଦୟା, କରୁଣା ଓ କ୍ଷମା ନ କରି ଖଡ୍ଗ ରେ ବଧ କରିବେ।'

ஜெயம் பெறுகிறவன் எவனோ, அவனை என் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திலே தூணாக வைப்பேன், அதில் இருந்து அவன் எப்போதும் நீங்குவது இல்லை; என் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தையும் என் தேவனால் பரலோகத்தில் இருந்து இறங்கிவருகிற புதிய எருசலேமாகிய என் தேவனுடைய நகரத்தின் நாமத்தையும், என் புதிய நாமத்தையும் அவன்மேல் எழுதுவேன்.

இதில் வெற்றி பெறுகிறவன் என் தேவனின் ஆலயத்தில், சிறந்த தூணாக விளங்குவான். இதில் வெற்றி பெறுகிறவனுக்காக நான் இதனைச் செய்வேன். அவன் எப்போதும் தேவனின் ஆலயத்தை விட்டு விலகமாட்டான். அவன் மேல் எனது தேவனின் பெயரை எழுதுவேன். அவன் மேல் எனது தேவனுடயை நகரத்தின் பெயரையும் எழுதுவேன். அந்த நகரத்தின் பெயர் புதிய எருசலேம். பரலோகத்திலிருக்கின்ற என் தேவனிடமிருந்து இந்நகரம் இறங்கி வந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றது. நான் எனது புதிய பெயரையும் அவன் மீது எழுதுவேன்.”
