Genesis 41:57
ସର୍ବଦେଶୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ମିଶର ଦେଶ ରେ ଶସ୍ଯ କିଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଯୋଷଫଙ୍କେ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ଯେ ହତେୁ ସବୁ ଦେଶ ରେ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରବଳ ଥିଲା।

ସବୁଆଡ଼େ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ପଡ଼ିଥିଲା। ତେଣୁ ଯୋଷଫେ ସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଗୋଲା ଫିଟାଇ ମିସ୍ରୀଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶସ୍ଯ ବିକିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ତଥାପି ମିଶର ରେ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରବଳ ହେଲା।
ଆଦି ପୁସ୍ତକ 42:5
କିଣାନୀଯ ଦେଶ ରେ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଥିଲା। ତେଣୁ କିଣିନୀଯ ଦେଶରୁ ବହୁତ ଲୋକ ମିଶରକୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟଶଷ୍ଯ କିଣିବାକୁ ଗଲେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେ ମଧିଅରେ ଯାକୁବର ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଥିଲେ।

ଯାକୁବ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଯେ, ମିଶର ରେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଶସ୍ଯ ମହଜୁଦ ଅଛି। ତେଣୁ ଯାକୁବ ତାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, କିଛି ନକରି କାହିଁକି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଳସୁଆ ହାଇେ ବସୁଛ?

ଏହା ସତ୍ଯ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ମନ୍ଦ ଯୋଜନା କରିଥିଲ। କିନ୍ତୁ ବାସ୍ତବ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଯୋଜନା ଥିଲାଉତ୍ତମ। ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଯୋଜନା ଥିଲା ଯେ, ସେ ମାେ ଦ୍ବାରା ବହୁତ ଜୀବନ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ। ଏବଂ ଯେଉଁଥି ପାଇଁ ଏସବୁ ହେଲା।

ସହେି ଦେଶ, ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଛ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ବିଷଯ ରେ କହିବା ସମାନେେ କହିବେ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦବୋକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ, ସଠାେକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ନଇୟିବୋକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସମର୍ଥ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ ଏବଂ ସେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଯେ ହତେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଘୃଣା କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ରେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଛନ୍ତି।'
