ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀର ଭାର୍ୟ୍ଯାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଲୋଭ କରିବ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀର ଗୃହ, କ୍ଷେତ୍ର, ଦାସ, ଦାସୀ, ଗୋରୁ, ଗଧ, କି ସମାନଙ୍କେର କୌଣସି ବସ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଲୋଭ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

ଶମରିଯା ନଗରସ୍ଥ ରାଜା ଆହାବଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାସାଦ ନିକଟରେ ଏକ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଥିଲା। ୟିଷ୍ରିଯଲେୀଯ ନିବାସୀ ନାବୋତ ଏହି ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଥିଲେ।
ମୀଖା 2:2
ସମାନେେ କ୍ଷତେ ଗ୍ଭହାଁନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ହରଣ କରନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଗୃହ ଗ୍ଭହାଁନ୍ତି, ଅନ୍ୟଠାରୁ ଛଡାଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅନ୍ୟର ଗୃହ ଅପହରଣ କରିବାକୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଠକନ୍ତି। ଆଉ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନେେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତାରଣା କରି ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଭୂମି ଅପହରଣ କରନ୍ତି।

ତାକୁ ଧିକ୍, ୟିଏ ଦୋଷ କରି ଧନୀ ହାଇେଛ। ସେ ଗୋଟିଏ ନିରାପଦ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ବାସ କରିବାକୁ ଏହିସବୁ କରେ। ସେ ଭାବେ ଯେ, ସେ କୌଣସି ଅନିଷ୍ଟରୁ ନିଜକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିପାରିବ।

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭାବି ପାର ଯେ, ମୁଁ କହୁଛି ପାପ ଓ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ହେଉଛି ଏକା କଥା। ଏହା ସତ୍ଯ ନୁହେଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ହେଉଛି ଏକମାତ୍ର ଉପାୟ ଯାହା ଦ୍ବାରା ମୁଁ ପାପର ଅର୍ଥ ଜାଣି ପାରିଲି। ମୁଁ କବେେ ହେଲେ ଜାଣି ପାରି ନଥାନ୍ତି, ଲୋଭ କରିବା ଅର୍ଥ କଣ। କିନ୍ତୁ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା କହିଲା, ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ବସ୍ତୁ ପାଇବା ପାଇଁ କବେେ ହେଲେ ଲୋଭ କର ନାହିଁ।

ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଧନୀ ହବୋକୁ ଚାହୁଁଛନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ପ୍ରଲୋଭନ ଫାନ୍ଦ ରେ ପଡ଼ି ଯାଆନ୍ତି। ଅନକେ ମୂର୍ଖତାପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଓ ଦୁଃଖ ଦେଉଥିବା ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ପାଇଁ ସମାନେେ ଇଚ୍ଛା ପୋଷଣ କରନ୍ତି। ସଗେୁଡ଼ିକ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରି ତଳିତଳାନ୍ତ କରିଦିଏ।
