ଆମୋଷ 1:13-14

13 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:

14 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

13 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହିକଥା କୁହନ୍ତି: ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅମ୍ମାନରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ତ ଦବୋ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଅନକେ ଅପରାଧ କରିଛନ୍ତି, କାହିଁକି? କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ଗିଲିଯଦ ରେ ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ନାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ଅମ୍ମାନରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହିପରି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କଲେ, ଯଟରେୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ସୀମା ଅଧିକ ଜାଗା ବଢାଇବାକୁ।

14 କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ରଦ୍ଦାର ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଉପ ରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ପକାଇବା ଏବଂ ଏହା ସଠାେକାର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାସାଦ ଓ ସହେି ଅଗ୍ନି ଦେଶକୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରିଦବେ ଏବଂ ସଠାେ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ ବିଭୀଷିକା ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାଯୁ ଆସିବ।
