ଦାଉଦ ତାଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ 1 ,700 ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀ ଏବଂ 20 ,000 ପଦାତିକ ସୈନ୍ଯ ନେଲେ। ଦାଉଦ 100ଟି ଅଶ୍ବ ରଖିଲେ କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଅଶ୍ବଗୁଡିକୁ ପଙ୍ଗକ୍ସ୍ଟ କରି ଦେଲେ।

ଯିହୋଶୂୟ 11:9
ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଏହିପରି କଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି କରିବାକୁ କହିଥିଲେ। ସେ ଘୋଡାମାନଙ୍କୁ େଛାଟାକରି ଦେଲେ ଓ ରଥଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ପୋଡି଼ ଦେଲେ।
ଦିତୀୟ ବିବରଣ 17:16
କିନ୍ତୁ ସହେି ରାଜା ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ଅନକେ ଅଶ୍ବ ରଖିବ ନାହିଁ। କିଅବା ଅନକେ ଅଶ୍ବ ରଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିଶରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଠାଇବ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଛନ୍ତି, 'ଏହି ସମୟଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆଉ ଏ ପଥରେ ଫରେିବ ନାହିଁ।'

ଏହିପରି ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ବହୁତଗୁଡିଏ ରଥ ଓ ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀ ହାଇଗେଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର 1,400 ରଥ ଓ 12,000 ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ରଥଗୁଡିକ ପାଇଁ ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ନଗର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ସେ କିଛି ରଥ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ନଗର ରେ ରଖିଲେ।
ପ୍ରଥମ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 18:4
ଦାଉଦ ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କଠାରୁ 1,000 ରଥ, 7,000 ରଥଚାଳକ, ଓ 20,000 ସୈନ୍ଯ ନଇଗେଲେ। ରଥ ଟାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହେଉଥିବା ହଦ ରଷେରଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଅଶ୍ବକୁ ଦାଉଦ ପଙ୍ଗୁ କର ଦେଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଦାଉଦ 100 ଗୋଟି ରଥକୁ ଟାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ଅଶ୍ବକୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ରଖିଲେ।
ଗୀତସଂହିତା 20:7
କେତକେ ଲୋକ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ରଥ ଉପରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ରଖନ୍ତି। ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସୈନିକଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ରଖନ୍ତି କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ନାମକୁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ବରରେ ଡ଼ାକୁ।

ଜଣେ ରାଜା ନିଜର ଶକ୍ତିଦ୍ବାରା ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ। ଜଣେ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ସୈନିକ କବଳେ ତା'ର ନିଜର ବଳ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରି ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଏ ନାହିଁ।
