ଦିତୀୟ ଶାମୁୟେଲ 4
1 ଶାଉଲର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଈଶ୍ବୋତ୍ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ପାଇଲେ ଯେ ଅବନ୍ର ହିବ୍ରୋଣ ରେ ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯବରଣ କରିଛି। ଈଶ୍ବୋତ୍ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଭୟଭୀତ ହାଇପଡେିଲେ।
2 ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇଜଣ ପୁରୁଷ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଈଶ୍ବୋଶତ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦେଖିବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ। ଏହି ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇଜଣ ପୁରୁଷ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧିନାଯକ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ରେଖବ୍ ଓ ବାନା, ବରେୋତୀଯ ରିମ୍ମୋଣର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ବରେୋତୀଯ ନଗରର ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗ ରେ ଗଣିତ ଥିଲେ।
3 କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବରେୋତୀଯମାନେ ଗିତ୍ତଯିମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଳାଇଲେ ଓ ସମାନେେ ଆଜି ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ବାସ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।
4 ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନଙ୍କର ଏକ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଥିଲେ, ଯାହାଙ୍କର ନାମଥିଲା ମଫୀବୋଶତ୍। ଯେତବେେଳେ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମାତ୍ର ପାଞ୍ଚ ବର୍ଷ ବଯସ ହାଇେଥିଲା, ସେତବେେଳେ ୟିଷ୍ରିଯଲରେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଖବର ଆସିଲା ଯେ, ଶାଉଲ ଏବଂ ଯୋନାଥନକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କରାୟାଇଛି। ଯେତବେେଳେ ମଫୀବୋଶତ୍ର ଧାତ୍ରୀ ଏ ଖବର ପାଇଲା, ସେ ମଫୀବୋଶତକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଉଠାଇଲା ଏବଂ ସେ ଭୟ ରେ ଦୌଡି ପଳାଇଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ପିଲାଟି ତଳେ ପଡିଗଲା ଏବଂ ତା'ପରେ ତା'ର ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇ ଗୋଡ େଛାଟ ହାଇଗେଲା।
5 ରେଖବ୍ ଓ ବାନା, ୟିଏ କି ବରେୋତୀଯ ରିମ୍ମୋଣର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର। ସମାନେେ ମଧ୍ଯାନ୍ନ ସମୟରେ ଈଶ୍ବୋଶତ୍ଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ। ସହେି ସମୟରେ ଇଶ୍ବୋତ୍ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ନେଉଥିଲେ, କାରଣ ସହେି ଅପରାହ୍ନ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ଗରମ ଥିଲା।
6 ରେଖବ ଓ ବାନା ଇଶ୍ବୋଶତ୍ର ଗୃହ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ, ସତେ ଯେପରି ସମାନେେ ଗହମ ନବୋକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି। ଇଶ୍ବୋଶତ୍ ସହେି ସମୟରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଶାଇେବା ଘ ରେ ବିଛଣା ଉପରେ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ନେଉଥିଲେ।
7 ସହେି ସମୟରେ ରେଖବ୍ ଓ ବାନା ତାଙ୍କର ପଟେ ରେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଭୂଷି ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ୍ତ କାଟି ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ନଇେ ଆସିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ୟର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ଦଇେ ରାତିସାରା ଚାଲିଲେ।
8 ସମାନେେ ଆସି ହିବ୍ରୋଣ ରେ ପହନ୍ଚିଲେ ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଇଶ୍ବୋଶତ୍ର କଟାମକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ୍ତ ଦେଲେ।
9 ତଥାପି ଦାଉଦ ରିମ୍ମୋଣର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ରଗଣ ରେଖବ୍ ଓ ବାନାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ସେ ମାେତେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିପଦରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ରକ୍ଷା କରିଛନ୍ତି।
10 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଜଣେ ନିଜକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଭବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଆଣିଛି ବୋଲି ମନେ କରି ମାେତେ କହିଲା, ' ଦେଖନ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଶାଉଲ ମରିଅଛି।' ମୁ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟରଷ୍କାର ଦବୋ ପରିବର୍ତେ ଯାହା ସେ ଆଶା କରିଥିଲା, ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଦ୍ବାରା ସିକ୍ଲଗ୍ ରେ ହତ୍ଯା କଲି।
11 ତେଣୁ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଭୂମିରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଉଚ୍ଛନ୍ନ କରିବି। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରକୃତିର ଲୋକ, ଏକ ଧର୍ମପରାଯଣ ଲୋକକୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଛ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ ତା'ର ନିଜ ଗୃହ ରେ ତା'ର ଶୟ୍ଯା ରେ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ନେଉଥିଲା।
12 ତେଣୁ ରାଜା ଦାଉଦ ତାଙ୍କର ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବା ସୈନିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ରେଖବ ଓ ବାନାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ରେଖବ ଓ ବାନାର ହସ୍ତ ଓ ପାଦ କାଟି ହିବ୍ରୋଣସ୍ଥ ପୋଖରୀ ନିକଟରେ ଝକ୍ସ୍ଟଲାଇ ଦେଲେ। ଏବଂ ଇଶ୍ବୋଶତ୍ର ମସ୍ତକ ନଇେ ହିବ୍ରୋଣ ରେ ଅବ୍ନର କବର ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ।
1 And when Saul’s son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
2 And Saul’s son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin:
3 And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and were sojourners there until this day.)
4 And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
5 And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish-bosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.
6 And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
7 For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and gat them away through the plain all night.
8 And they brought the head of Ish-bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the Lord hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.
9 And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the Lord liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
10 When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:
11 How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?
12 And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth, and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron.
Zechariah 2 in Tamil and English
1 তারপর আমি চোখ তুলে চেয়ে দেখলাম মাপার ফিতে হাতে একজন মানুষ|
I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2 আমি জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, “আপনি কোথায যাচ্ছেন?”তিনি আমায় বললেন, “আমি জেরুশালেম মেপে দেখতে চাই তা দৈর্ঘ্যে ও প্রস্থে কতখানি|”
Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
3 তখন য়ে দেবদূতটি আমার সঙ্গে কথা বলেছিলেন তিনি চলে গেলেন এবং আরেকটি দেবদূত তাঁর সঙ্গে কথা বলবার জন্য এগিয়ে এলেন|
And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
4 তিনি তাকে বললেন, “দৌড়ে গিয়ে সেই যুবকদের বল য়ে জেরুশালেম মাপার পক্ষে অতিশয বড়| তার কাছে গিয়ে এই কথাগুলো বল:‘জেরুশালেম হবে প্রাচীরবিহীন একটি শহর কারণ জেরুশালেমে বসবাসকারী মানুষ ও পশুর সংখ্যা হবে অনেক|’
And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
5 প্রভু বলেছেন, ‘আমি শহরের চারধারে একটি আগুনের প্রাচীর তৈরী করে তাকে রক্ষা করব| এবং সেই শহরের মহিমা আনয়ণ করবার জন্য আমি সেখানে বাস করব|”‘
For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
6 প্রভু বলেছেন, “তাড়াতাড়ি কর, উত্তরে অবস্থিত দেশটি ত্যাগ কর! হ্যাঁ, এটা সত্যি য়ে আমি তোমার লোকেদের চতুর্দ্দিকে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলাম|”
Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the Lord: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the Lord.
7 ওহে সিয়োনের লোকেরা, যারা বাবিলে বাস করছ, তোমাদের প্রাণ বাঁচাতে এ জায়গা ছেড়ে যাও| ঐ শহর ছেড়ে পালাও! সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভুই এই কথা বলেছেন| তিনি আমাকে সেই জাতিগুলির মধ্যে পাঠিয়েছেন যারা তোমাদের লুঠ করেছিল| তিনি আমাকে পাঠিয়েছেন তোমাদের কাছে সম্মান আনতে|
Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
8 কারণ তোমাদের আঘাত করা, ঈশ্বরের চোখের মণিকে আঘাত করবার তুল্য|
For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
9 বাবিলের লোকেরা আমার লোকেদের কারারুদ্ধ করেছিল এবং তাদের এীতদাস বানিয়েছিল| কিন্তু আমি তাদের আঘাত করলে তারা আমার লোকেদের দাস হয়ে যাবে| তখন তোমরা জানবে য়ে সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভুই আমায় পাঠিয়েছেন|”
For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.
10 প্রভু বলেছেন, “সিয়োন, আনন্দ করো এবং সুখী হও! কারণ আমি আসছি এবং আমি তোমার শহরে বাস করব|
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord.
11 সেই সময়ে বহু জাতি আমার কাছে আসবে| তারা আমার লোক হবে এবং আমি তোমার শহরে বাস করব|” আর তুমি জানবে য়ে সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু আমায় তোমার কাছে পাঠিয়েছেন|”
And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
12 প্রভু জেরুশালেমকে তাঁর বিশেষ শহর হিসেবে আবার মনোনীত করবেন| যিহূদা হবে পবিত্র ভূমিতে তাঁর অংশ|
And the Lord shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
13 প্রত্যেকে নীরব হও! প্রভু তাঁর পবিত্র আবাস হতে আসছেন|
Be silent, O all flesh, before the Lord: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
