ଶଲୋମନ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନଗରରୁ ଫାରୋଙ୍କର କନ୍ଯାଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ନିର୍ମିତ କରିଥିବା ଗୃହକୁ ଆଣିଲେ। ଶଲୋମନ କହିଲେ, ମାରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ରେ ବାସ କରିବ ନାହିଁ ାକାରଣ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ବିଶଷେ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଥିଲା, ତାହା ପବିତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନ ଅଟେ।
