କିନ୍ତୁ ରିହବିଯାମ୍ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦଇେଥିବା ଉପଦେଶକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ରିହବିଯାମ୍ ତାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଏକତ୍ର ବଢ଼ିଥିବା ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରୁଥିବା ୟୁବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥା ହେଲେ।
