କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କ କଥାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭୃକ୍ଷପେ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ କହିଲେ, ନା, ଆମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଶାସନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ରାଜା ଦରକାର।

ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପ୍ରତି କଠାେର ହବେି ଓ ଆଣିବି ଯାହା ସମାନେେ ଭୟ କରନ୍ତି କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ଉତ୍ତର କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ମୁଁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଡ଼ାକିଲି ଏବଂ ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ କୁହା ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସବୁକିଛି କଲେ ଯାହା ମାରେ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ରେ ମନ୍ଦ ବୋଲି ବୁଝା ହେଲା। ସମାନେେ ଜିନିଷ ମନୋନୀତ କଲେ, ଯାହା ମୁଁ ପସନ୍ଦ କଲି ନାହିଁ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 7:13
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହିସବୁ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କରିଅଛ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାରମ୍ବାର କହିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେ କଥା ଶୁଣିଲ ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡ଼ାକିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦଲେ ନାହିଁ।
ଯିହିଜିକଲ 33:31
ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ମାେ ଲୋକପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସନ୍ତି। ମାେ ଲୋକପରି ସମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ବସନ୍ତି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ କଥା ଶୁଣନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ ମାେ କଥା ମାନନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସମାନେେ କବଳେ ତାହା କରନ୍ତି, ଯାହା ସମାନେେ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହାଁନ୍ତି। ଏବଂ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ହୃଦଯ ଅସାଧୁ ଲାଭ ପାଇଁ ଲୋଭି ଅଟେ।
