1 Chronicles 21:6
ଯୋୟାବ ଲବେୀ ଓ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗଣନା କରି ନ ଥିଲେ। କାରଣ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଆଦେଶ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅପ୍ରୀତିକର ଲାଗୁଥିଲା।

ଦାଉଦ ଏହା ପତ୍ର ରେ ଲେଖି ଥିଲେ, ଯେଉଁ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ରେ ଘମାଘୋଟ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଏ, ସଠାେରେ ଊରିଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଗଧାଡି ରେ ରଖ। ତା'ପରେ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସଠାେରେ ଏକା ଛାଡି ଦିଅ, ଯେପରି ସେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ହତ୍ଯା ହବେ।

ସରୁଯାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋୟାବ୍ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗଣିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ଶଷେ କରିପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କୋର୍ଧାନ୍ବିତ ହାଇେଉଠିଲେ। ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ରାଜା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସଂଖ୍ଯା ଲଖାୟୋଇ ନାହିଁ।
