ଯୀଶୁ ସଠାରୁେ ଯାଉଯାଉ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ କର ଆଦାୟ କନ୍େଦ୍ର ରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ବସିଛନ୍ତି। ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ ଥିଲା ମାଥିଉ। ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମାରେ ଅନୁସରଣ କର। ମାଥିଉ ଉଠି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କଲେ।
