Luke 23 - BBE (Oriya)

1 And they all went and took him before Pilate.ସମସ୍ତେ ଉଠି ଠିଆ ହେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ନଇଗେଲେ।

2 And they made statements against him, saying, This man has to our knowledge been teaching our nation to do wrong, and not to make payment of taxes to Caesar, even saying that he himself is Christ, a king.ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଦୋଷ ଦବୋକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିଛୁ। ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଛନ୍ତି ଯେ କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ କର ଦବୋ ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ। ସେ ନିଜକୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ଜଣେ ରାଜା ବୋଲି କହୁଛି।

3 And Pilate said to him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he said in answer, You say so.ପୀଲାତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା?

4 And Pilate said to the chief priests and the people, In my opinion this man has done no wrong.ପୀଲାତ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଏବଂ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏ ଲୋକର ମୁଁ କିଛି ଭୁଲ ଦେଖି ପାରୁନାହିଁ,

5 But they became more violent than before, saying, He has made trouble among the people, teaching through all Judaea from Galilee to this place.ସମାନେେ କିନ୍ତୁ ବାରମ୍ବାର କହିଲେ, ସେ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଗୋଳମାଳ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ୟିହୂଦାର ଚାରିଆଡେ ସେ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଉପଦେଶ ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ଏହା ଗାଲିଲୀ ରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏବେ ସେ ଏଠା ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

6 But at these words Pilate said, Is the man a Galilaean?ପୀଲାତ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ପଚାରିଲେ, ଏହି ଲୋକ କ'ଣ ଗାଲିଲୀର?

7 And when he saw that he was under the authority of Herod, he sent him to Herod, who was in Jerusalem himself at that time.ପୀଲାତ ଜାଣିଲେ ଯେ, ଯୀଶୁ ହରେୋଦଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାରକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଲୋକ। ହରେୋଦ ସହେି ସମୟରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ପୀଲାତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ପଠାଇ ଦେଲେ।

8 Now when Herod saw Jesus he was very glad, having for a long time had a desire to see him, for he had had accounts of him, and was hoping to see some wonders done by him.େ ହରୋଦ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ବହୁତ ଖୁସି ହାଇଗେଲେ। େ ହରୋଦ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ରେ ସବୁକଥା ଶୁଣି ସାରିଥିଲେ। ବହୁ ଆଗରୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ସେ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରିଥିଲେ। େ ହରୋଦ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଗୋଟିଏ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯକର୍ମ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଆଶା କରୁଥିଲେ ଯେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ଯୀଶୁ କିଛି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯକର୍ମ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରିବେ।

9 And he put a great number of questions to him, but he said nothing.େ ହରୋଦ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଅନକେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ କିଛି ଦେଲେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲନୋହିଁ।

10 And the chief priests and the scribes were there, making statements against him violently.ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ସଠାେରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଆଣି ଚିତ୍କାର କରି କହୁଥିଲେ।

11 And Herod, with the men of his army, put shame on him and made sport of him, and dressing him in shining robes, he sent him back to Pilate.ତା'ପରେ େ ହରୋଦ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପରିହାସ କଲେ। ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ରାଜକୀୟ ପୋଷାକ ପିନ୍ଧାଇ ଦଇେ ସମାନେେ ଉପହାସ କଲେ। ତାପରେ େ ହରୋଦ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କୁ ପାଖକୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ।

12 And that day Herod and Pilate became friends with one another, for before they had been against one another.ଅତୀତ ରେ ପିଲାତ ଓ ହରେୋଦଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ବରାବର ଶତୃତା ଲାଗି ରହୁଥିଲା କିନ୍ତୁ ସହେି ଦିନରୁ ସେ ଦୁ ହେଁ ବନ୍ଧୁ ହାଇଗେଲେ।

13 And Pilate sent for the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and said to them,ପୀଲାତ, ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଯିହୂଦୀନେତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସବୁ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି ଡାକିଲେ।

14 You say that this man has been teaching the people evil things: now I, after going into the question before you, see nothing wrong in this man in connection with the things which you have said against him:ପୀଲାତ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ମାେ ପାଖକୁ ଆଣିଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାମେେ କହୁଛ ଯେ ସେ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଗୋଳମାଳ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରୁଛନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଉପସ୍ଥିତି ରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କରିଛି। ତାହାଙ୍କ ଠା ରେ ମୁଁ କୌଣସି ଭୁଲ ଦେଖିପାରିଲି ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯାହା କହୁଛ, ଯୀଶୁ ସେଥି ରେ ଦୋଷୀ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି।

15 And Herod is of the same opinion, for he has sent him back to us; for, you see, he has done nothing for which I might put him to death.ତାଛଡା ହରେୋଦ ମଧ୍ଯ ତାହାଙ୍କଠା ରେ କୌଣସି ଭୁଲ ଦେଖି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି। ହରେୋଦ ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଖକୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇ ଦଇେଛନ୍ତି। ଦେଖ, ଯୀଶୁ କିଛି ହେଲେ ଭୁଲ କାମ କରି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ଠିକ୍ ହବେନାହିଁ।

16 And so I will give him punishment and let him go.ତେଣୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସାମାନ୍ଯ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦବୋପରେ ମୁଁ

17 []ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ଚାଲିୟିବାକୁ ଅନୁମତି ଦବେି।

18 But with loud voices they said all together, Put this man to death, and make Barabbas free.କିନ୍ତୁ ସବୁଲୋକେ ପାଟିକରି ଉଠିଲେ, ତାହାକୁ ମାରିଦିଅ। ବାରବ୍ବାକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଦିଅ।

19 Now this man was in prison because of an attack against the government in the town, in which there had been loss of life.ବାରବ୍ବା ନଗର ରେ ଦଙ୍ଗା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିବା ୟୋଗୁଁ ଓ କେତକେ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଥିବା ଯୋଗୁଁ କାରାଗାର ରେ ବନ୍ଦୀ ହାଇେ ରହିଥିଲା।

20 And Pilate again said to them that it was his desire to let Jesus go free.ପୀଲାତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ଦବୋକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ପୁଣିଥରେ ପୀଲାତ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ ଯେ ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡି ଦବେେ।

21 But crying out they said, To the cross with him!କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଚିତ୍କାର କରି କହିଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମାରିଦିଅ। ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କୃଶ ରେ ଚଢାଇ ମାରିଦିଅ।

22 And he said to them a third time, Why, what evil has he done? I see no reason for putting him to death: I will give him punishment and let him go.ତୃତୀୟ ଥର ପାଇଁ ପୀଲାତ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କହିଲେ, କାହିଁକି, ସେ କ'ଣ ଭୁଲ କରିଛନ୍ତି? ସେ ଦୋଷୀ ନୁହନ୍ତି। ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁଦଣ୍ଡ ଦବୋପାଇଁ ମୁଁ କୌଣସି କାରଣ ଦେଖି ପାରୁନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସାମାନ୍ଯ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦବୋ ପରେ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡି ଦବେି।

23 But they went on crying out loudly, Let him be put to death on the cross. And they had their way.କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଚିତ୍କାର କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଦାବି କଲେ ଯେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କୃଶ ରେ ଚଢାଇ ମାରିଦିଅ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପାଟିତୁଣ୍ଡ ଏତେ ତୀବ୍ର ହେଲା ଯେ,

24 And Pilate gave his decision for their desire to be put into effect.ପୀଲାତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅନୁଯାଯୀ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ ନେଲେ।

25 And in answer to their request, he let that man go free who had been in prison for acting against the government and causing death, and Jesus he gave up to their pleasure.ଲୋକମାନେ ବାରବ୍ବାକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହାଇେ ଚାଲିୟିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ। ବାରବ୍ବା ନରହତ୍ଯା ଓ ବିଦ୍ରୋହ ଅପରାଧ ରେ କାରାଗାର ରେ ଥିଲା। ପୀଲାତ ବାରବ୍ବାଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ଦେଲେ। ପୀଲାତ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ମାରିଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହାତ ରେ ସମର୍ପି ଦେଲେ। ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହା ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ।

26 And while they were taking him away, they put their hands on Simon of Cyrene, who was coming from the country, and made him take the cross after Jesus.ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ମାରିଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ନଇଗେଲେ। ଠିକ୍ ସହେି ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ପଲ୍ଲୀଗ୍ରାମରୁ ଫରେି ନଗର ଭିତରକୁ ଆସୁଥିଲା। ତା'ର ନାମ ଥିଲା ଶିମାନେ। ଶିମାନେ କୁରୀଣ ନଗରର ଲୋକ ଥିଲା। ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ କୃଶ ବହନ କରି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ୟିବାକୁ ଶିମାନେକୁ ବାଧ୍ଯ କଲେ।

27 And a great band of people went after him, and of women making signs of grief and weeping for him.ବହୁ ସଂଖ୍ଯା ରେ ଲୋକେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗଲେ। କେତକେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଦୁଃଖ କରିଥିଲେ ଓ କାନ୍ଦୁଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଦୁଃଖ ଅନୁଭବ କରୁଥିଲେ।

28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem, let not your weeping be for me, but for yourselves and for your children.କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ବୁଲିପଡି ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ନାରୀଗଣ! ମାେ ପାଇଁ କାନ୍ଦ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ଓ ନିଜ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କାନ୍ଦ।

29 For the days are coming in which they will say, Happy are those who have had no children, whose bodies have never given birth, whose breasts have never given milk.ଏବେ ସମୟ ଆସୁଛି, ଯେତବେେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ କହିବେ, ' ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତି ନାହାଁନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ସୁଖୀ। ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନେ ବନ୍ଧ୍ଯା, ସମାନେେ ଧନ୍ଯ। ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନେ ସନ୍ତାନ ସନ୍ତତିକୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦଇେ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଯତ୍ନ ନଇେ ନାହାଁନ୍ତି, ସମାନେେ ଧନ୍ଯ।'

30 And they will say to the mountains, Come down on us, and to the hills, Be a cover over us.ତା'ପରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ପର୍ବତକୁ କହିବେ, ଆମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ଖସିପଡ ଲୋକେ ପାହାଡକୁ କହିବେ, 'ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଘୋଡଇେ ଦିଅ।'

31 For if they do these things when the tree is green, what will they do when it is dry?ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସମୟରେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଜୀବନ ଭଲ ରେ କଟୁଛି, ସେତବେେଳେ ଲୋକେ ଯଦି ଏଭଳି ବ୍ଯବହାର କରିବେ, ତବେେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଖରାପ ସମୟ ଆସିବ, ସେତବେେଳେ ଅବସ୍ଥା କ'ଣ ହବେ?

32 And two others, evil-doers, were taken with him to be put to death.ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦିଆୟିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଉ ଦୁଇଜଣ ଅପରାଧୀଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ନିଆ ଯାଉଥିଲା।

33 And when they came to the place which is named Golgotha, they put him on the cross, and the evil-doers, one on the right side, and the other on the left.'କପାଳ' ନାମକ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଓ ସହେି ଦୁଇଜଣ ଅପରାଧୀଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ନିଆଗଲା। ସଠାେରେ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କୃଶବିଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ଅପରାଧୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ ଜଣକୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଡାହାଣ ପାଖ ରେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣକୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବାମ ପାଖ ରେ ରଖିଲେ।

34 And Jesus said, Father, let them have forgiveness, for they have no knowledge of what they are doing. And they made division of his clothing among them by the decision of chance.ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପରମପିତା, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ମାେତେ ହତ୍ଯା କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କ୍ଷମା କର। କାରଣ ସମାନେେ କ'ଣ କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ସମାନେେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

35 And the people were looking on. And the rulers made sport of him, saying, He was a saviour of others; let him do something for himself, if he is the Christ, the man of God's selection.ଲୋକମାନେ ସଠାେରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ଯ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଉପହାସ କରୁଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ କହୁଥିଲେ, ଯଦି ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମନୋନୀତ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ତବେେ ନିଜକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତୁ। ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲେ। ନୁହେଁ କି?

36 And the men of the army made sport of him, coming to him and giving him bitter wine,ଏପରିକି ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଉପହାସ କଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଥଟ୍ଟା କରିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅମ୍ଲରସ ଯାଚିଲେ।

37 And saying, If you are the King of the Jews, get yourself free.ସୈନ୍ଯମାନେ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା, ତବେେ ନିଜକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କର।

38 And these words were put in writing over him, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.କୃଶ ରେ ଉପରି ଭାଗ ରେ ଲଖାେ ଯାଇଥିଲା: ଏ ଯିହୂଦୀ ମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା।

39 And one of the evil-doers on the cross, with bitter feeling, said to him, Are you not the Christ? Get yourself and us out of this.ଝୁଲୁଥିବା ଅପରାଧୀ ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କ ଭିତରୁ ଜଣେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ନିନ୍ଦାକରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ନୁହଁ? ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କର ଓ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ରକ୍ଷା କର।

40 But the other, protesting, said, Have you no fear of God? for you have a part in the same punishment,କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଅପରାଧୀଟି ତାହାକୁ ଗାଳି କରି କହିଲା, ତୁ କ'ଣ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଭୟ କରୁନାହୁଁ? ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଖୁବ୍ ଶୀଘ୍ର ମରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଛୁ।

41 And with reason; for we have the right reward of our acts, but this man has done nothing wrong.ତୁ ଓ ମୁଁ ଉଭୟ ଅପରାଧୀ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦୋଷ କରିଥିଲୁ। ତେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ପାଇବାକୁ ଯୋଗ୍ଯ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ପାଇଛୁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଲୋକ କୌଣସି ଦୋଷ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି।

42 And he said, Jesus, keep me in mind when you come in your kingdom.ତା'ପରେ ସହେି ଅପରାଧୀଟି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ଯୀଶୁ, ଆପଣ ଯେତବେେଳେ ରାଜା ଭାବରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଶାସନ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବେ, ସେତବେେଳେ ମାେତେ ମନେ ପକାଇବେ।

43 And he said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you will be with me in Paradise.ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ଶୁଣ! ମୁଁ ଯାହା କହୁଛି ତାହା ସତ୍ଯ। ଆଜି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେ ସହିତ ପାରାଦୀଶ ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ।

44 And it was now about the sixth hour; and all the land was dark till the ninth hour;ସେତବେେଳେ ପ୍ରାୟ ଦିନ ଦ୍ବିପ୍ରହର ହାଇେଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ଅପରାହ୍ନ ତିନିଟା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମଗ୍ର ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ ହାଇଗେଲା।

45 The light of the sun went out, and the curtain in the Temple was parted in two.ସୂର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଦଖାଯାେଉ ନଥିଲେ। ମନ୍ଦିରର ପରଦା ଦୁଇଖଣ୍ଡ ହାଇେ ଚିରିଗଲା।

46 And Jesus gave a loud cry and said, Father, into your hands I give my spirit: and when he had said this, he gave up his spirit.ଯୀଶୁ ପାଟିକରି କହିଲେ, ହେ ପରମପିତା, ମୁଁ ମାରେ ଆତ୍ମା ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦେଉଛି। ଏହା କହିବା ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ପ୍ରାଣ ତ୍ଯାଗ କଲେ।

47 And when the captain saw what was done, he gave praise to God, saying, Without doubt this was an upright man.ସନୋଧ୍ଯକ୍ଷ ସଠାେରେ ଯାହା ଘଟିଲା, ଦେଖିଲେ। ସେ ଏହି କଥା କହି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କଲେ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ଏହି ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଜଣେ ଉତ୍ତମ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଥିଲେ!

48 And all the people who had come together to see it, when they saw the things which were done, went back again making signs of grief.ଅନକେ ଲୋକ ଏହି ଘଟଣା ଦଖାବୋକୁ ନଗରରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସିଥିଲେ। ଏସବୁ ଦେଖି ସମାନେେ ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଦୁଃଖ ପ୍ରକାଶ କଲେ ଏବଂ ଶଷେ ରେ ସମାନେେ ଫରେିଗଲେ।

49 And all his friends and the women who came with him from Galilee, were waiting at a distance, watching these things.ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ତରଙ୍ଗ ବନ୍ଧୁମାନେ ସଠାେରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ। ତା'ଛଡା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଗାଲିଲୀରୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରି ଆସିଥିବା ଅନକେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକ ସଠାେରେ ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ କୃଶଠାରୁ ଦୂର ରେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ଏସବୁ ଦେଖୁଥିଲେ।

50 Now there was a man named Joseph, a man of authority and a good and upright manଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ହାରାମାଥୀଯା ନଗରର ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ସଠାେରେ ଥିଲେ। ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ ୟୋ ସଫେ। ସେ ଯିହୂଦୀ ମହାସଭାର ଜଣେ ସଦସ୍ଯ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଜଣ ଉତ୍ତମ ଓ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକଥିଲେ। ସେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ଯକୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରୁଥିଲେ।

51 (He had not given his approval to their decision or their acts), of Arimathaea, a town of the Jews, who was waiting for the kingdom of God:ଅନ୍ୟ ଯିହୂଦୀ ନେତାମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ସ୍ଥିର କଲା ବେଳେ ସେ ସେଥି ରେ ରାଜି ହାଇନେଥିଲେ।

52 This man went to Pilate and made a request for the body of Jesus.ୟୋ ସଫେ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯାଇ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀରକୁ ମାଗିଲେ। ପୀଲାତ ୟୋ ସଫଙ୍କେୁ ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଅନୁମତି ଦେଲେ।

53 And he took it down, and folding it in a linen cloth, he put it in a place cut in the rock for a dead body; and no one had ever been put in it.ତେଣୁ ୟୋ ସଫେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀରକୁ କୃଶ ଉପରୁ ତଳକୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆଣିଲେ। ତାହା ଗୋଟିଏ ଲୁଗା ରେ ସେ ଘୋଡାଇ ଦେଲେ। ସେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀରକୁ ନଇେ ପାହାଡକାନ୍ଥ ରେ ଖୋଳା ହାଇେଥିବା ଓ ପୂର୍ବରୁ କବେେ ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହାଇନେଥିବା କବର ମଧିଅରେ ରଖିଲେ।

54 Now it was the day of making ready and the Sabbath was coming on.ଏହା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ଦିବସର ଶଷେ ସମୟ ଥିଲା। ବିଶ୍ରାମଦିବସ ପାଖଇେ ଆସୁଥିଲା।

55 And the women who had come with him from Galilee went after him and saw the place and how his body had been put to rest;ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗାଲିଲୀରୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ୟୋ ସଫଙ୍କେ ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଯାଇ କବରଟି ଦେଖିଲେ। । ଭିତ ରେ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଶରୀରଟି ରଖାଗଲା, ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନଟି ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ।

56 And they went back and got ready spices and perfumes; and on the Sabbath they took their rest, in agreement with the law.ତା'ପରେ ସହେି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଶରୀର ରେ ଲଗାଇବା ପାଇଁ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବାକୁ ସଠାରୁେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
