ଏହି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନର ଉତ୍ତର ଦବୋକୁ ଯାଇ ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ୟିରୂଶାଲମରୁ ଯିରୀହାକେୁ ଯାଉଥିଲା। ବାଟରେ ସେ ଡକାୟତମାନଙ୍କ ହାବୁଡ ରେ ପଡିଲା। ସମାନେେ ତା' ଲୁଗାପଟା ସବୁ ଚିରି ବାହାର କରି ଓ ତାକୁ ମାଡ ମାରି ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧମୃତ ଅବସ୍ଥା ରେ ପକାଇଦଇେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Jesus made answer and said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
