କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦୁତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଜିଖରିୟ! ଭୟ କରନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଶଣୁଛନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭର ପତ୍ନୀ ଏଲୀଶାବେଥ ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁତ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ ଜନ୍ମ କରିବେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାହାର ନାମ ଯୋହନ ରଖିବ।

But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
