Jonah 1 - WEB (Oriya)

1 Now the word of Yahweh came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,ଅମିତାଯଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ୟୂନସକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ।

2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach against it, for their wickedness has come up before me."ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, ନୀନିବୀ ଗୋଟିଏ ବିରାଟ ନଗରୀ। ସଠାେ ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ବହୁତ ମନ୍ଦକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଶୁଣିଲୁ। ଉଠ ଓ ସହେି ନଗରୀକୁ ୟାଅ ଏବଂ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଚାରଧାରା ଘାଷେଣା କର।

3 But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of Yahweh. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid its fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of Yahweh.ୟୂନସ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ କଥା ମାନିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭହିଁଲା ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂ ରଇେ ୟିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲା। ସେ ୟୋଫୋକୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲା। ସେ ଦେଖିଲା ଗୋଟିଏ ନେ ୗକା ସୁଦୂର ତର୍ଶୀଶ ନଗରୀକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲା। ସେ ଅର୍ଥ ଦଇେ ସହେି ନେ ୗକା ରେ ୟାତ୍ରା କଲା। ସେ ତର୍ଶୀଶ ଯାଉଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲା ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂ ରଇେ ଗଲା।

4 But Yahweh sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.କିନ୍ତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ପ୍ରକାଣ୍ତ ଝଡି ସହେି ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ପ୍ ରରଣେ କଲେ। ସହେି ବାତ୍ଯା ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ଅଶାନ୍ତ କରି ଦଲୋ। ସହେି ଝଡ ଅତି ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ଥିଲା ଏବଂ ନେ ୗକାଟି ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଖଣ୍ତ ଖଣ୍ତ ହବୋକୁ ବସିଲା।

5 Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man to his god. They threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten it. But Jonah had gone down into the innermost parts of the ship, and he was laying down, and was fast asleep.ଲୋକମାନେ ବୁଡି ଯାଉଥିବା ନେ ୗକାକୁ ହାଲୁକା କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ନେ ୗକା ରେ ବୋଝଇେ ହାଇେଥିବା ମାଲକୁ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ଫିଙ୍ଗିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ। ନାବିକମାନେ ଭୟଭୀତ ହାଇେ ପଡିଲେ। ସମସ୍ତେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଇଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ।

6 So the shipmaster came to him, and said to him, "What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your gods! Maybe the gods will notice us, so that we won't perish."ୟୂନସ ଜାହଜ ରେ ଶାଇେଥିବାର ଦେଖି ଜାହାଜର କାପ୍ତାନ କହିଲେ, ଉଠ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହୁଅ। ଶୋଇଛ କାହିଁକି? ତୁମ୍ଭର ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର। ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଭୁ ହୁଏତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣିବେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।

7 They all said to each other, "Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is on us." So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.ତା'ପ ରେ ନାବିକମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର କୁହାକୁହି ହେଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଗୁଳାବାଣ୍ଟ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଜାଣିବା, କାହିଁକି ଏ ଦୁଃଖ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପ ରେ ଘଟୁଛି।

8 Then they asked him, "Tell us, please, for whose cause this evil is on us. What is your occupation? Where do you come from? What is your country? Of what people are you?"ତା'ପ ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ୟୂନସକୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହା ହେଉଛି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୋଷ, ଯାହା ଯୋଗୁଁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଏହି ଭୟଙ୍କର ଦୁଃଖ ଘଟୁଛି। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ'ଣ କରିଛ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ। ତୁମ୍ଭର କାମ କ'ଣ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଆସିଛ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଘର କେଉଁଠି? ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକ କିଏ?

9 He said to them, "I am a Hebrew, and I fear Yahweh, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land."ୟୂନସ ସହେି ନାବିକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ଜଣେ ହିବ୍ରୁ ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଉପାସନା କରେ ୟିଏକି ସ୍ବର୍ଗର ପରମେଶ୍ବର। ସହେି ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ପରମେଶ୍ବର ୟିଏକି ସମୁଦ୍ର ଓ ଦେଶର ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତା।

10 Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said to him, "What is this that you have done?" For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of Yahweh, because he had told them.ୟୂନସ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂ ରଇେ ଯାଉଥିଲା ବୋଲି ସହେି ନାବିକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା। ଯେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ଏକଥା ଜାଣିଲେ, ସମାନେେ ଭୟଭୀତ ହାଇେ ପଡିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ୟୂନସକୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଭୟଙ୍କର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ କଲ?

11 Then said they to him, "What shall we do to you, that the sea may be calm to us?" For the sea grew more and more tempestuous.ପବନ ଓ ଢେଉ ସମୁଦ୍ର ରେ ଅଧିକ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ହାଇେ ବଢିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା। ତେଣୁ ଲୋକମାନେ ୟୂନସକୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବାକୁ କ'ଣ କରିବୁ? ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି କ'ଣ କଲେ ସମୁଦ୍ର ଶାନ୍ତ ହବେ?

12 He said to them, "Take me up, and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will be calm for you; for I know that because of me this great tempest is on you."ୟୂନସ ସହେି ନାବିକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ, ମୁଁ ଭୂଲ୍ କରିଛି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସମୁଦ୍ର ରେ ଝଡ ଆସିଲା। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମାେତେ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଦିଅ, ତହିଁରେ ସମୁଦ୍ର ଶାନ୍ତ ହାଇଯେିବ।

13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to get them back to the land; but they could not, for the sea grew more and more tempestuous against them.କିନ୍ତୁ ସହେି ନାବିକମାନେ ୟୂନସକୁ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୁ ଫିଙ୍ଗିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରି ନଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଜାହାଜକୁ କୂଳକୁ ନବୋକୁ ବହୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ କୂଳକୁ ନବୋକୁ ସକ୍ଷମ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ପବନ ଓ ତରଙ୍ଗ ଅଧିକ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ହାଇେ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ବହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା।

14 Therefore they cried to Yahweh, and said, "We beg you, Yahweh, we beg you, let us not perish for this man's life, and don't lay on us innocent blood; for you, Yahweh, have done as it pleased you."ତେଣୁ ସହେି ନାବିକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ୟୂନସକୁ ସମୁଦ୍ର ମଧ୍ଯକୁ ପକାଉଛୁ କାରଣ ସେ ବହୁ ମନ୍ଦକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିଛି। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଦୋଷୀ କର ନାହିଁ, ସତେ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏକ ନିରୀହ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିକୁ ବଧ କରୁଅଛୁ। ପୁଣି ନିରୀହ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିର ରକ୍ତପାତ ଦୋଷ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପ ରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତାଅ ନାହିଁ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଜାଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ଗ୍ଭହିଁବ ତାହା କରିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ସଦଯ ହୁଅ।

15 So they took up Jonah, and threw him into the sea; and the sea ceased its raging.ତେଣୁ ସହେି ନାବିକମାନେ ୟୂନସକୁ ସମୁଦ୍ର ରେ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଦେଲେ। ଝଡ ବନ୍ଦ ହେଲା ଓ ସମୁଦ୍ର ଶାନ୍ତ ହେଲା।

16 Then the men feared Yahweh exceedingly; and they offered a sacrifice to Yahweh, and made vows.ଯେତବେେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହା ଦେଖିଲେ ସମାନେେ ଭୟଭୀତ ହାଇେ ପଡିଲେ ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଉପାସନା କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ବଳି ଦେଲେ ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ମାନସିକ କରି ଶପଥ କଲେ।

17 Yahweh prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.ଯେତବେେଳେ ୟୂନସ ସମୁଦ୍ର ରେ ପଡିଲା, ସେତବେେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏକ ବିରାଟ ମାଛ ୟୂନସକୁ ଗିଲିବାକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। ୟୂନସ ସହେି ମାଛ ଗର୍ଭ ରେ ତିନିଦିନ ଓ ତିନିରାତି ରହିଲା।
