ସୈନ୍ଯାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର କହିଲେ, ହେ ଯିରିମିୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, 'ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ଯ ପ୍ରତି ଅବଧାନ କରି ଆମ୍ଭର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ କର।

Jeremiah 6:8
ହେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ କର। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭ କଥା ନ ଶୁଣ, ତବେେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବିରକ୍ତି ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଖରୁ ଦୂ ରଇେ ୟିବା। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦେଶକୁ ଏକ ମରୁଭୂମି ଓ ଜନଶୂନ୍ଯ ରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା।

ସାବଧାନ ରୁହ, ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବର କଥା କହିଲା ବେଳେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ମନା କର ନାହିଁ। ଯେତବେେଳେ ସେ ପୃଥିବୀର ସହେି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତର୍କ କଲେ, ସେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥା ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ଯ କଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନେେ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଏବେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ସ୍ବର୍ଗରୁ କହୁଛନ୍ତି। ଅତଏବ, ଏବେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯ ଶୁଣିବା ପାଇଁ ମନା କରୁଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଲାଗି ଅତି ଖରାପ ହବେ।
Jeremiah 9:12
ଏହା ବୁଝିଲାଭଳି କୌଣସି ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଏଠା ରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି କି ? ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଶିକ୍ଷା ପାଇଥିବା ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ମୁଖ ନିଃସୃତ ବାଣୀକୁ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ କହେି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଅଛି କି ? ଦେଶ କାହିଁକି ଧ୍ବଂସପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲା ଓ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରସବୁ ଦଗ୍ଧିଭୂତ ହେଲା, କହେି ସଠାେ ରେ ୟାତାଯାତ କଲେ ନାହିଁ ?

ଏହି କଥାକୁ ଶ୍ରବଣ କରିବାକୁ ଓ ଶ୍ରବଣ କରି ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନୋୟୋଗ କରିବାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ଏପରି ଲୋକ କହେି ଅଛି କି ?
